Overall a very good college

There's particularly nothing bad about THK Jain college, the staff are gentle. teachers are supportive, seniours are helpful. you will get a good experience over here. The college has a good environment. it's maintained very nicely. it has a free bus facility. and many more.

Our college comes under CALCUTTA UNIVERSITY. and the syllabus that the university provides is one of the best over the country. So if you study here you need not to worry about the course structure. they focus on both theory and practical equally and labs are well equiped

About internship. there's not much help for internship in the college but particularly in CSC department after your final year. you are offered to give an exam. and if you do well. you may get placed in companies like TCS.

Our college celebrates an annual fest every year which is organized by the students. we also invite Bollywood celebrities on our fest. the fest helps the organizing students in many ways. it helps to develop our personality. communication skills. boost our confidence.

The college fees is not too much. it's feasible in all means. for C. sc it's 24,500 annually which I think is ok. regarding other departments. it's 3000/4000 more or 3000/4000 high. Soo regarding fees one need not to worry.

There is no scholarship offered by the college in general. but they keep you notified about the various scholarship offered by the state and central govt. as well. if you consider my case. I avail a scholarship of 10000 annually. which is offered by central govt. for more details of this scholarship you may Google NSP. You will get all the details put there.

Aaah. as far as extracurricular activities is concerned. our college has a NSS group. in addition there is an annual sports tournament. where you will get to see various games like cricket football table tennis. carrom board. chess etc.

Noh. the college doesn't provide hostel facilities. but there are many pg's nearby which are good and costeffective. For me I have taken a room in rent along with one of my friend which cost each of us 1500 per month. and food of Kolkata is very cheap Soo one need not to worry for this as well.

The seniours of the college will be super helpful. for any help. you can contact them directly. and trust me. they will never disappoint you. you will always be benifitted if you maintain a good relationship with your seniours.

I wanted to study c. sc so I chose the course. The admission process is simple. if you have secured 80+ in ur 10+2 than you will get direct admission. at my time I needed to collect the prospectus and admission form from college but now they have made this process online. Soo u need to fill the form online from their site. and than they will publish the merit list. if your name comes up. u will be called for admission.

Mostly all the teachers have done masters and they teach you with full interest, they will never disappoint you, you must feel free to ask them your doubts anytime, they give their best and try to focus on each and every student. but you must be cooperative too.
