Remarks

The positive remark is that the college faculty is good. So if you ever need any help they are ready for you. Clubs are not too good here. But overall the college is great. If you are willing to start your engineering life, this is good place. Instead of getting demotivated by some factors, it's rather better to stay motivated and keep doing hardwork. College's overall response is good if the student is willing to do something.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

As far as electronics and telecommunication in concerned in my college, it is more GATE oriented rather than placement. Being an Electronics and Telecommunication student here, you should opt for higher studies, go through GRE or CAT. You may even go for other government service exams like ESE. The overall course is a bit old. But it's quite systematic. Labs might depend on one's interest. Once the experiments are done, it's better leaving. The course is not too much research focused unless you do some project work under a professor. Although the faculty is very helpful. In any case, if you need help or reference, they are always ready to help. Since they share good knowledge, you can always seek help from them. Exam is conducted at every semester end. Other than that, their are 2 mid sem exams. whose marks are added to the final score. Also their are internals, viva and external exams which mostly happens before the final or end sem exams

Placement Experience

3.5

Honestly saying, the placement is more of CS,IT oriented. Most of the companies are for these 2 branches. One good reason can be students attraction towards GATE or vise versa. Some companies for electrical, electronics are also there. Some of the mass recruiters are also there. The list of companies that visited our college is available on college's website. Due to college's placement policy we are not allowed to share much information here. The average of CS/IT is quite good here.

College Events

4

The only main event here is know as Aayam which happens in February usually. The 3 day fest. More of a cultural fest that has various things to organize. Various competitions are kept. Students from other colleges come to participate here. Although the main events are daytime events. Competitions like shooting, puzzle solvers, roborace are organized here. The last day has a cultural night where dance, comedy, speeches are organized.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is not too much. The per sem. fees is 50,000 rs. It's affordable overall. Except for the two branches Information Technology(IT) and Biomedical Engineering which are self aided branches, the fees for all is same. Since these are self aided, the fees is a bit more.

Fees and Financial Aid

MP govt. provides scholarship to meritourious students. They give back complete fees for students with an annual family income less than 6 lakh. Other than that their are separate scholarship for SC/ST students which is almost same as above. College also gives prizes for those who had a good CGPA in their 1 year.

Campus Life

3

The sports activities are good here. The campus has basketball court, football ground, cricket ground, badminton court. The sports activities are regularly organized here. Various college level and regional tournaments are organized. Students from our college participate and win many accolades.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

I would rate college hostel 5. 5. The building is very old and mess facility is compulsary for everyone who lives in hostel. Although if u do not eat for some day the price will be deducted from the overall fees of next sem mess fees.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network of college is very strong. And to say, this is the plus point of our college. A strong network helps the students a lot. Various alumni now are in big firms today. Some in foreign countries. We even have our Alumni meet where various alumni come to college and suggest changes for various things.

Admission

I got admission through the marks of JEE mains 2017. This process is not a part of JOSAA. So you need to fill for mponline councilling at their official webiste :"https://dte. mponline. gov. in/". The couniclling is conducted in 3 stages. 1st stage, 2nd stage and college level stage. You need to make your login into the account and need to fill the choices of college as per the priority in descending order. Once you have filled the choices. Their is a certain deadline before which you need to complete choice filling process. Now the outcomes are on the basis of merit list. A merit list is generated and accordingly the college from your filled choices is allotted. This is where first stage ends. And second stage is similar to this one. The remaining seats from the first stage are allotted in 2nd stage. After this a college level councilling is conducted.

Faculty

3.5

Most of the faculty is well qualified. They are Post graduates from IITs. Some have their Ph. D's from IITs. Some of the faculty have worked with great technologies. Other than electronics branch also, their are branches with great professor. They will help you to get some projects. Often, the faculty is interested and responsible. Although their is a pressure of course completion, but they manages to do everything well if students are willing to know. They even have great contacts, which may help students for further studies, research work or jobs.

Placement Experience:

At the end of 2nd year, companies like goldman sachs comes to take interns. For placements students become eligible from 6th or 7th semester. In recent years goldman sachs is the biggest recruiter, oracle and Deloitte have also recruited, other firms like tcs and infosys also come. Giants like Amazon and google have stopped visiting since few years. Last year highest package was 72 lpa to an ece student. Average lies around 8 lpa. In tech branch 70-80% students are placed. In lower branches 50-60% students are placed. My plan is also to get placed at a decent package after completion of course.
