Remarks

A lot of positives but various fields like alumini sectors and other places need a slight improvement. Steps are being taken but the implementation is taking time. The college has also become a autonomous institute from the year 2020. So it's going to have a lot more to offer to the students.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Students in VVCE are very much into research as there are competitions and other things held every semester.Being a VTU University College the curriculum is fixed as per that of the university.Exams are conducted very much strictly and according to the norms set by the university.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements in VVCE is on upward trend. They number of students getting placed are increasing day by day and year by year.Initiatives are taken up by the college to train the students for placements.Internships are mostly not provided in college but must be taken up by students in various organisations.

College Events

5

There are a lot of events taken up in college to promote student interactions. There are technical feasts organised by every department in every semester every semester. There will also be an annual cultural programme known as Vidyuth organised at the college level every year.Apart from this there are a lot more students driven event such as enterpreneurship cell event, and many other events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is aroound 70-80k for a government merit seat which is fixed up by the government for every year.It is very much feasible. The management and other fee structures are not known to me as i am not a member of those requirements.

Fees and Financial Aid

College every year facilitates rank students and also help poor students by giving them scholarships. The college invests around 8 lakh rupees for around 25 students every year as scholarship. There would be a committee which would analyse weather the student is eligible for scholorship or not and the procedure follows.

Campus Life

4.5

The gender ratio is 35 girls to 30 boys in each class.Every semester there would be around 3-4 technical workshops 1 industrial visit and lots of hands on experience to the students.Every student respects every other student.College has taken initiatives to reduce the domination of a single gender in college and promote students to be friendly with both the gender students. There are different squads such as anti ragging squad and other which take care of student safety.

Hostel Facilities

4

No i have not opted for hostel service as i am a localite. There are about 60 students in the boys hostel and about 30-40 students in the girls hostel. The food, infrastructure and all the facilities provided are very good as far as i have heard from my friends.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumini network is not very strong in the college. The association does very less events for the alumini.Interactions are very less. The college has not taken up this part very seriously and the help from the alumini is also less.

Admission

I wrote a common entrance test which is taken up by all the students in the state known as CET.Results are taken and a rank will be alloted to each student based on the score they get. Then during the college allocation we get a chance to put all the required colleges that we would like to join in the software provided by the state government. If the seat is available for our rank then it will be allocated to us.

Faculty

4

VVCE is a very student friendly organization and all the faculties are really good in terms of the knowledge they have. They also impart the same knowledge very well to the students. Most of the faculties have done Ph.D on their respective domains and different teaching methodologies are used to make the students understand better.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell is very active in our college. Every year more than 30+ companies come to our college for recruitment . Our seniors from 7th semester get placed in many companies and before getting placed in the company our college offers internships to every student. Around 80 % of the students get placed in companies and work efficiently. The average package for civil engineering is 2.5 lakh per annum.

Placement Experience:

RIT's placement scenario is very good, even for the most unpopular branches such as Civil Engineering. Starting from the 7th semester, students are allowed to participate in campus recruitment, and companies come to the campus for the entire final year. The major recruiting companies are L&T Construction, Shapoorji Pallonji, Brigade Group, Sobha Developers, Atkins, PWD, and Infosys for the non-core sector. Civil students on an average get ?5–6 LPA as salary, and the highest offer is usually in the range of ?12–15 LPA, depending on the company and the position. Almost 70–80% of Civil students are placed, while some of them go for higher studies or government examination.Site engineer, design engineer, planning engineer, survey engineer, and trainee engineer are the core positions that are offered. Also, non-traditional roles in IT and consulting can be taken up by those who are not interested in core engineering profiles.I will first acquire some work experience in the industry after completing my degree and then will pursue a master's degree in structural engineering to gain further specialization.

Students become elegible for placements from 7th sem onwards but we are encouraged to do internship before final itself. Most of the companies that come here aren't t1 or even t2. Highest probably would be 12L only if the student is exceptional but most would secure a package 4-6. And the percentage of students getting placed is <50%
