Remarks

Overall good experience and very supportive staffs especially in E. C and other branches. But when it comes to Civil branch it was the best branch in the year 2014-15. But later in the year 2017 it came out to be the worst. Many of my Civil friends suffered without average in spite of doing well in internals.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Firstly I was very much impressed by the college campus. Then i felt the coaching was good enough with experienced lecturers. When it came to lab, we had be more disciplined than we used to be in class.Overall a good experience. Our's was a state University. The fee structure and exam structure everything is fixed by the state University and the college would follow that.

Placement Experience

1.5

It is here where the college was lagging. The college was good enough in placement training and coaching but it didn't place any student in top companies through campus placements.College did mention top companies in campus placements but those companies never came

College Events

2

The college had Fresher's day, Ethnic day, College day fest and Graduation days celebrated at the beginning and later on only Fresher's day and Graduation day were celebrated as a whole. Since, the course branches started celebrating on their own.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Our's was a state University. The fee structure and exam structure everything is fixed by the state University and the college would follow that. Hence, the fee structure was very much affordable it was like 70k per annum when I was studying.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship were given to lower class students and SC,ST's based upon the caste system by the government.Which could be applied through college. This was the worst part which was done by the government and I hated this.According to me only merit students should be awarded with scholarships.

Campus Life

3.5

Extracurricular activities was very much encouraged at the time when I newly joined but it turned out to be the worst the principal was changed. The new principal wanted to bring drastic change in a very short period by completely stopping extracurricular activities where in he failed and he himself quit from the college.(Reason unknown) Workshops were good and were conducted quite often. When it came to gender ratio as usual boys were more in branches like Civil and Mech and girls strength were a upper hand in branches like EC, CS and IS.

Hostel Facilities

3

The college had good hostel facilities. There are 3 buildings meant for hostel in which 2 are for boys and 1 seperate building to girls. The rooms were started from 2 sharing till 5 sharing. For people who didn't opt hostel there many PG's nearby college.

Alumni/Alumna

The first Alumni I met was such a devastating one.It was a group of them (mostly last benchers) looking at me and uttered that "This guy life is gone".But to be frank the college was good with experienced lecturers and well equipped labs and everything. So it didn't turn that bad at all. It was later during my studies I met very studious, talented, friendly and supportive seniors.

Admission

Admission to any Engineering college would be made through an Entrance examination or directly through management seats.I got through CET and was placed in this college based upon my ranking.I chose my branch to be EC in B.E because I was interest in it.

Faculty

4

Faculty were very well experienced in their subjects. It was their experience in teaching which never made us boring to sit in the class.Any doubts were most welcomed and they would easily clear it.

Placement Experience:

Students in my college have a very good amount of campus placements where students become eligible from the final year 7th semester however the placement cell starts training from the 1st year means 1st semester itself like training for aptitude test, coding and mock interviews. Top it companies like TCS infosys, wipro, Accenture, capgemini, cognizant, IBM, tech mahindra mind tree. The campus receives 300+ offers. The average package 8 - 10 LPA and highest package 54 LPA. Every year 90% students are placed. After my degree i am planning to higher studies in abroad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is generally detailed and aligned with industry Expectations but there is still scope for modernisation in certain areas.Overall i would like to rate 8/10. The syllabus include both theoretical and multiple lab components which ensures hands on learning. The practical labs like programming work and project with learning help students understand how concepts are applied in real work places. A few theory heavy subjects feel outdated and no longer match the current industry demand this could be revised or replaced.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester, but the overall placement scenario in DSCE for CSE is below average. Not even 50% of students get placed in good companies. Most students end up getting offers from mass recruiters or in sales and non-tech roles. Only a small percentage of top performers get decent technical packages. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, Cognizant, and a few mid-tier companies visit the campus, but the number of high-package, core-tech roles is very limited. The average package is on the lower side compared to other top COMEDK colleges. Because of this, many students plan for higher studies, certification courses, or off-campus drives after completing the degree. The on-campus placement support definitely needs improvement, especially for technical roles.”

My plan after degree is to get a good job.
