Excellency of ISM Dhanbad

As I have seen ISM is very good institute to study. It has very several contract with foreign country's Institutes. Here facilities and faculties both are very nice. So I can say that I am studying in one of the best Institute of India.

ISM used to conduct national level entrance exam two times in a year viz. Phase I and Phase II for PhD program. Candidates who qualified for entrance exam are eligible for interview. ISM didn't provide any score for entrance exam.

Candidate who are register in Ph.D program, they have to clear at least four course work exam within two year of enrollment. There are also assessment of your work every year. And students have to submit progress report within every three months.

Now, ISM is going to become an IIT from next session. Due to this many multinational companies are coming for placement and internship and they are providing same stipend as they used to pay in IITs.

Very big opportunity is here for job in both government and private sectors. Year wise data is available on ISM site.

ISM used to organize several events including technical, cultural etc. In which SRIJAN, CONCETTO, PARAKRAM etc. Duration of these events are 3 days. In these events students from IITs and NITs are used to participate. These program included star nights also. In which celebrity from bollywood, hollywood are participate.

Fee structures are similar to the IITs fee structure. But you have to no worry about the fee because loan facilities are easily available in the campus at the time of admission.

There are several scholarship for meritorious students and SC ST candidates are available. If you are one of good students in your class you must obtained the fellowship. SM North American Alumni Scholarship for Mineral/Earth Science, Budhwanti Mrig Memorial Educational Scholarship (For girl students), etc. are some fellowship.

There are similar ratio of both boys and girls. There are no hostel party officially organize by ISM. There are world class Student activity center for students which includes all Indoor games including gym, yoga, swimming pool and canteen. There are several cultural societies for students of different states viz. Kallinga, Otijhya etc. ISM respect the culture of all states and religion. ISM used to organize Durgapooja, Ganesh Pooja, Lohri, Bengali New Year etc. Every year. There are every year election process of ISM students society (ISS). This society help students in different prospective.

Hostel facilities as well as mess facilities are very good. There are room available on shearing basis which may not be problem for anyone. Beacuse other facilities are very good accordingly. On who will get admission, must enjoy the hostel life.

Here alumni network is very very good. Alumni of ISM are working in very high places in both government and private sectors eg. ONGC, Coal India Limited, Oracle, Samsung, Gail, Ministry of Earth Science etc.
