Central University

Considering the faculties, extra curricular activities, and opportunities provided to the students. Its no doubt the 2nd largest University after ISM dhanbad in terms to opportunities offered. The only negative point is that the University doesn't has it permanent campus ready yet.

The course structure is at par with the IITs and NITs. The examination occurs semester wise. The semester is divided into three diffrence units and there three internal exams each of 20 marks are preformed for each subject. The best of two out of three internals is considered for the final semester exam. The final semester exam is of 60 marks.

The placement cell does its job quite efficiently. Students who are hardworking and have knowledge of the subject, generally grab a healthy package at the end of their course. While talking about chemistry department. You can be easily be placed in schools for PHT jobs.

A year in the University is marked with a lot of extra curricular activities. Every year sports fest is celebrated in the even semester and many college and university are invited. The University also participates in almost all the east zone tournaments. I am proud to mention that many of our students have participated in national level also.

The fee is minimal for every department. The fee per semester for my course was 8300 rupees. The hostel cost 1200 rupess per semester the Mess cost approximately 13000 rupees per semester. The fees when compared to other universities is very less.

Students who are from economically weaker sections and perform very well in their first semester exam are given full feel scholarships. The students needs to work really hard for that scholarship.

The labs are at par with IITs, it has all the required equipment and they are funded well for good research works. The sports structure is also very well organised. The students need to train very hard to get into University teams which represent the University in east zone tournaments and different inter university tournaments.

The hostel facilities are very nice. The rooms are 15×15 feets, with 3 beds. The floor is led with white tiles. The hostel is cleaned twice a day. The rooms are provided with 3 beds, one almirah with 3 doors and locks and 2 fans, 3 switch boards above each bed.

The senior are very helpful here. Its an non ragging campus. No students is tortured by any of the seniors. The hostel environment is friendly and people get along with each very comfortably.

I passed the entrance exam. Then I was called for counselling. The counselling process was very fluid. After counselling we had to submit the addmission fees and tution fees in the Punjab National Bank, which is inside the campus. Then we had to report to the respective departments. The addmission process was very fluent and the teachers where quite helpful.

All the faculties of the University are well qualified and have a in depth knowledge of the subject they teach. All the faculties of my (chemistry) department have their Phd from foreign university and command a great knowledge of their field.
