Remarks

It's a great college with many opportunities. The only downside is the student intake. My college has a lot of students which makes everything very competitive. Another downside is that the gender ratio is very low.The number of girls are very less compared to the number of boys. This causes problems.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

In college all the marks depends upon the faculty. The total marks out of 100 are divided into two exams ( Mid semester and End semester ), lab practicals ( not compulsory for every subject ) and internal marks ( based on projects and assignments ).These are assessed by the subject teacher itself. The research opportunities are ok.Interested students often contact the professors of their respective departments and work as research intern under them. The labs are chilled for some courses but are really hectic for others.

Placement Experience

4

There are a lot of great placement opportunities. The highest international placement packages go around 1.8 crores. The highest national packages are around 48 LPA The internship opportunities are also very good Around 200 companies visit every year to pick up interns. Stipends can vary from around 20,000 to 1 lakh per month. Some internships also provide accommodation and some provide an all expense paid trip to foreign.Major companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart etc came.

College Events

4.5

Technological fest : Invictus Cultural fest : Engi Literature fest : Yuvaan Sports fest : Aahvaan All these fests are very huge. Most of the college students from all around Delhi visit our college during these fests. There are a huge number of competitions happening all around the campus during these fests. Many students from outside Delhi also visit to take part in these competitions.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is feasible for a middle class typical family.Otherwise there are income based scholarships. The academic fee is about 4-8 lakhs for 4 years. The hostel accommodation fee is around 38000 - 40000 per annum. The hostel mess fee is 20000 for annum. The figures mentioned above are measured in currency of INR.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many scholarship options for underprivileged students. Also there is an exchange program in our college. In this program students from countries like Africa, Nepal, Afghanistan are taken into our college. These students are provided with special loans and accommodation. Also there is a discount in fee for the students which belong to the reserved category.

Campus Life

3.5

There are lot of extracurricular activities. There is a big sports complex with two tennis courts, one football stadium, one cricket ground, two basketball courts, two volleyball courts, one kabbadi pitch, and indoor hall for badmintona and table tennis. There are many societies for art and culture There is a street dance society an art and craft society, a music society and a drama society. Also many societies for personality development and cultural fests.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is really great.Students have all the help in the world.Seniors are really friendly and helpful. It becomes very was for juniors to solve their problems as seniors suggests quick and simple solutions.

Admission

We had to write JEE mains and based on our ranking we were able to choose course. The course in demand required a good rank. The courses in demand like Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engine etc generally require good ranks.Other courses are available to students even with a low rank.Since this college is funded by Delhi Government, the students from Delhi City are generally accepted into even with low ranks. The allotment of course occurs at the website of JAC Delhi.

Faculty

4

The faculty is ok. Some faculties have no idea about the subject and just dictate everything they read from the textbook itself. Some faculties are really good and have a lot of experience. They make sure that each and every student gets the concept and then proceed. In general faculties just do their work and leave the rest on students. Many teachers are just MTech graduates and doesn't have an actual teaching degree. These teachers are only 3-4 years older than the students. They are highly unqualified. Some teachers are really good and have deep knowledge of subject. These are well qualified.

Students after completing third year are eligible for placement. Placements start before starting of fourth year, and it requires students to have no backlogs in any subjects. However companies can imply their own rules to filter the students such as minimum CGPA criteria. But placements of our college is one of the best placement for a non-IIT college, despite having so many student intake.

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, average package goes from 5lpa to 10lpa. Highest it has went 84lpa in Amazon so far and can for sure grow in future. 7th semester students become eligible for placement drives and companies like amazon, microsoft, newgen, tcs, ibm, etc are major recruiters here. Around 80% students do get placed but you can definitely be among them by refining your skills and maintaining a good cgpa. I plan to go for off campus placements as well as I'm interested in AI related roles but hoping for even better.
