Course Curriculum Overview

Total 8 semesters. 4 years. Very hectic schedule till 6th semester. We have lab exams, internals and external exams every semester.

Placement Experience

The placement scenario is not that good. You have to go for internships and placements in off-campus. Core companies such as Vedanta, TRL, IOTL, JK paper come for recruitment and some low paying consultancy companies. For internships, you have to apply on yourself.

College Events

Annual Techfest name HORIZON, Literature Fest, Annual Function, individual Branch Fest, welcome functions. Inter-College Sports name UTSAHAN. All events are Grand. The annual Techfest Horizon sees large participation from nearby colleges.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very feasible as it is a Government College. Per semester fee is 33,000/- and hostel fees is 20,000 approx.

Fees and Financial Aid

Good rank holders get TUITION FEE WAIVER. Other governmental scholarships are there for poor students like Medhabruti, Prerana.

Campus Life

The gender ratio is good. 2:1. Every month there is atleast one or two events. No politics as the representatives are chosen based upon their skills. People from all race, ethnicity study here. As it is a Govt. College so it has ample amount of reservation for backward classes and castes and poor people.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel 7/10. Mess food facility available. Hostel rooms are good. Regular cleaning is done. Food is good.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Admission

The admission process is done through JEE MAINS. Then you apply for your choice branches based upon your rank in the entrance exam. After allocation of seat, you have to move to the college for normal admission. No interview is done.

IIIT Bhubaneswar means technology!

Placement Experience:

Amazon, Google, Wipro, HCL Tech and many such which has been around for a while in the tech business and has built tech for many overseas companies too are the ones which have already started coming. I am in my final year and around 40% students have already been recruited and I hope before this semester ends, i too get placements.

Our college give good placement but packages are very low package start with 150000 and end in 700000 . But you study properly then you try pursuing higher studies. 40% students placed but below 400000 . after completing you try off campus placement then you secured good salary on good company.

placements are average...not feels like an iit but its ok ...this yaer percentage of placement was 90% and highest ctc was of 67.4 LPA with median of 12LPA and average of 17 LPA ...most of the placements for SDE roles. My plan is to finish my degree as soon as possible and get placed for a SDE role so that i can survive

Placement Experience:

The placement stats of IIT Bhubaneswar are quite good. For the 2025 placement season, the highest CTC was 67.6 LPA and the mean CTC was 14.5 LPA, with a total of 22 PPO offers. Approximately 90% students were placed this year. Major recruiters were Google, Oracle, Zomato, Goldman Sachs, NVIDIA and Meesho. This year, there were 5 international offers (4 from Accenture Japan and 1 core offer from Niterra Japan).

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

NOT AN IDEAL COLLEGE BUT DEFINITELY DESCENT

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is descent. Some of the student opt for higher studies. Almost 80% get placed with good packages.some goes for gate exam. I also know a senior who have gate AIR of 42. I am planning for gate along with my degree.companies like Hpcl , cpcl, exon mobil usually come here for recruiting.

I chose this college for this particular branch . Electrical engineering is a very respected branch in our college as many industries are built near this area which take students from campus selections.
