Most positive thing is that this college campus is truly ragging free.Seniors are very understanding and cooperative. A little negative aspect is that it is far away from the main city Kolkata and it takes around 3 hrs to reach Sealdah Railway station which is one of the main Railway stations in Kolkata.

B.tech course is according to Aicte and follows the curriculum decided my MAKAUT.CSE and ECE are the course affiliated by MAKAUT.Other courses are run by their own university i.e THE NEOTIA UNIVERSITY.

Placements are good enough.But you have to be very skilled.Because TCS, Wipro,Infosys are the major companies which comes here.Note that infosys has a MOU with the college which is a very good thing.

Many technical events are celebrated here.Firstly you will enjoy in the Freshers and cultural fest "Abhigraha" and further much more technical events are celebrated such as "parikalpana".Foundation day is also celebrated on 3rd February.

I am a CSE student here.So, I can give a rough sketch of fees which I have paid.Acedmic fees is 50,000 per semester and hostel fees is 35,000 per semester.In the first year and first semester the total fees paid by you will be more because of some security deposits which is taken at the time of admission, it's very obvious.

Scholarships are available in our college for the students based on their 12th marks and family income.This is a very good thing.You can search on uts official website (nitmas.edu) and find our that how much a student can get scholarship based on his/her 12th marks and family income.Likewise I am getting 25% scholarship on my tution fees here because of my family income which is less than 2.5 lakhs per annum and 12 marks.Note one thing that if you get a scholarship here then you also have to maintain a minimum of 6.5 sgpa in each semester otherwise you will lose it forever at the time when you scored less.

See, this is a college where many courses are available like Computer science and engineering, electronics and communication, agriculture, physiotherapy, robotics engineering, hospitality and hospital management, law, marine engineering, nautical science etc.As far as it is the matter of gender ratio, agriculture comes with a very nice gender ratio of 1:2.When it comes to CSE,ECE gender ratio is little poor.While there are only boys in marine engineering and nautical science. Coming to sports facilities, this is good enough.Basketball, volleyball and cricket are those outdoor games which can be your best sports here.Several basketball courts are there and also a big cricket ground with a nice pitch.Badminton courts are also available outside each hostel. Labs are also in very good condition.Specially computer labs are well equipped with new computer systems and all security majors.Well defined and separate labs are also available for different subjects in agriculture.Physics, electrical and chemistry labs are also well maintained and contains all the required apparatus in excellent working conditions.

Yes, seniors are interactive and helpful.We can seek any type of academic or non academic help from them.Alumina are also there to help if you get in touch with them through college authority.Even sometimes college itself arranges to alumni meet up whether by face to face or by video conferencing as per alumni schedule and comfort.

I got admission here through WBJEE.Computer science was favourite subject and I was much sure about choosing this course since my 12th.That's why I choosed this.But this college have major students in agriculture, marine and CSE,ECE.

Faculties are quite good but not so well.Most of them are not so good at Hindi.Even some are not good in English.So students from other states face some language issues in starting.Like I am also from Bihar and faced language issues because I don't know bangla and they have poor catch on Hindi.But the good thing is that many of them will try to make you understand by giving their best.You also need to put some efforts there.But trust me after 1 or 2 sem, you will make up and can easily catch their language.
