Remarks

The college is situated in a very good area, all day to day facilities available within a radius of 1 km. The campus has 2 grocery stores for daily needs, one laundry shop and one canteen. The college library is the best library in the state of Uttar Pradesh, a very rich and fine library. Most importantly, the college is very safe for the students.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is quite versatile. It consists of a variety of subjects catering to everyone’s interest. About the exam structure, NLU Lucknow conducts only end semester exams one in the month of November and one in the month of April

Placement Experience

3.5

Recently the placement records of the college has improved. The Internship and Placement Committee is responsible for providing internships. It makes call for CVs for various firms, organisation, lawyers etc and on the basis of the CV of the student he or she is provided an internship. As far as stipend is concerned it depends on where the person is interning.

College Events

5

The Cultural Committee is responsible for all the cultural activities taking place in college like the Bharatotsav, Ball Night, Riwayat. The Moot Court Committe is responsible for all the events related to mooting like Concours, Grand Intra, SCC Online International Media Law Moot Court Competition. The Debate and Discussion Committee is responsible for all the debating events like Grand Intra, National Hindu Debate, RMLNLU National Parliamentary Debate. The Seminar and Workshops Committee is responsible for all the seminars on various topics. Most of the time the seminar panel comprises of very esteemed personalities from various fields.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite feasible since it is a government college. Moreover, the college also provides for scholarship for economically weaker section. The annual fees is ?1,19,000 which is inclusive of the tuition and hostel fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven’t availed of any such facility but the college does provide for scholarships for economically weaker section and SC/ST students. For more information regarding this one can contact the account department of the college.

Campus Life

5

They are extremely good. The campus has a badminton court, table tennis table, basketball court, lawn tennis court, football field, volleyball field. It has an olympic size swimming pool. It has a seperate jogging track. It has a gymnasium with all modern equipments and a squash court and billiards table.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Yes, I have opted for hostel. The hostels are well maintained. The cleaning lady comes daily. From 1st to 4th year the rooms are on the basis of double occupancy and in 5th years everyone has a single room. The rooms are quite spacious with a balcony in each room. The washrooms are common but they are also clean. The food in the mess of the hostel is also edible and it provides a lot of variety to the students

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni and senior students are the pillar of the college. Willing to help to any extent possible. The alumnus are doing very well and also guides their junior in every possible way. They regularly visit the campus so there is a lot of interaction between the currently studying students and the alumni

Admission

One has to appear for the entrance exam CLAT conducted in the month of May. College is alloted to the student on the basis of rank secured after taking the entrance exam. The exam is of maximum 200 marks. Every year the cut off is different for different NLUs.

Faculty

4

Most of the faculty members are well versed with their subject. All of them are willing to clear the doubts of the students. They usually engage in discussions which are not confined to course topics which helps to make the teacher student relation interactive.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was clear about my course from school time .In my university there were a lot of classes which was only for personality dovelopement that make us ready for the real word and corporate sector. The improvement should be in mangement as i seen a lot of change in faculty members so i feel there was not a propper management of faculty . There was a lot of exams but these were not a difficut thing as they were not so diffucult as i mention before anyone who attends classes can pass these examinations.

Placement Experience:

The students start getting paid internships from the 4th year and the stipend is according to the work they do. The college gives full support to the students to work for their internships and focus on it. in the last semester (5th year), the students have a well-organised resume which helps them to get good jobs. The college only offers placements to the meritorious students however, it also provides recommendations for all students and gives them a list of the various companies they can apply for a job. Many law firms visit the college and take interviews to select students. The campus placement rate is not that high. After graduation, one can go for judiciary, litigation, corporate jobs, academician or pursue LLM.
