Entrance Preview
I didn't take any entrance exam. I was in Patkar college since F.Y.J.C.I completed my H.S.C and then continued with B.SC. It course since there was demand in IT field at that time and the college gave preference to in couse students.
Course Curriculum Overview
They lack good English speaking skills but overall a decent faculty. Can't really blame the college for the course Curriculum. Since it is affiliated to Mumbai University,the college doesn't really have much control over the syllabus. Honestly speaking,the syllabus is outdated and useless in the current scenario. All IT companies have the latest technology and newest version of software but in college they have 6-7 year old machines and software both. But its the same in most of the government colleges.
Internships Opportunities
There was no internship. I am lucky that I completed the course.
Placement Experience
A lot of companies came for placements like Wipro,TCS,Patni. But the package they were offering was way too less. The ones who didn't know much about the market joined it. But I waited for a good opportunity and joined a small company but a high-paying one.
College Events
Each department has their own festival. Not much to talk about since I was not much into these activities.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Since it is a government college,the fee structure is good.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships are only for students who family's income is below poverty line. Also reimbursement is provided to students belonging to Reserved Category.
Campus Life
Gender ratio was more or less the same. It is a very small college,no parties. The cultural team was very active. But I was more into studies. The crowd was pretty descent and no ragging or such activities observed.
Hostel Facilities
When I was in college,they were building the hostel. It might be complete by now. Since it is a government college,The food is ok.
Alumni/Alumna
Not much interaction with the seniors. Alumini network was good.
