Remarks

I am very much satisfied with Indian Statistical Institute and their undivided dedication towards the research work. College campus is pretty good and we had access to all the latest research and analytical tools. First hand experience of these tools was very valuable.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum was very thorough and helpful in expanding my horizon of knowledge. I was involved with the operational research unit where we were involved with some ground breaking research work.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placements are not that good. Most of our college pass-outs got job proposals right here within the campus. And many even took the job at the college itself. The course made us capable of procuring jobs in profiles like consultancy, analytical research, etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

20k annually for a masters course, these are the kind of perks you can avail if you end up at a government funded organisation. Our institute was not expensive at all, on the other hand the day to day life products can be procured right there within the campus.

Campus Life

5

National Board for Higher Mathematics, Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India has individually contributed to the massive stock of the library. Numerous sports activities are supported here.

Admission

Admissions are granted on the basis of an entrance exam and Interview conducted by the ISI themselves. The entrance exam tests you on the basis of basic aptitude and analytical skills. The admission process was pretty smooth.

Placement Experience:

Internships are offered after sem 1. And placement scenario is good, with good packages. Big companies like JP MORGAN, HCL, FIITJEE, GOOGLE, TCS, IPAC, etc. highest package for our course was 37 lakhs/ annum. And minimum was 11 lakh. More than 80% gets placed. My plan is to pursue PhD

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose physics as my interest lies in studies of physics as for the faculty there are 2 campuses for NSUT so there are a lot of faculties each class has a fair gender ratio and faculties are highly qualified in NSUT they take a mid-semester exams and an end semester exam an internal assessment between these exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course curriculum is not that light, it requires to be taken seriously throughout. Had done BSc in mathematics so automatically reflex was to pursue a master's in the same subject, that's why opted for it in the first place. But later realized we can do a lot more things with the same course apart from carrying on a Ph.D.

No one can get bored here. Academics are top class. Apart from studies, sports facilities are at their best as well. From indoor to outdoor activities, you are never going to have any complaints regarding these.

Remarks:

Overall the university is good as it's central university and said so the fee is also bearable for financially deprived students. Faculty is good who teach you about subject with focus. The infrastructure is pretty good like ghalib park , tagore auditorium, art gallery etc. One of the biggest library is in jamia.
