Remarks
It is a great time of my life and our college is known for its simplicity and excellence. College always provides support for the students and there was no hateful incident in our college. In one word feel proud of being a part of this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have opted for mathematics honours and it is very touchy and great subject to me since my childhood and I loved it more in college days and I discovered the beauty of the subject and deep knowledge in this subject. Exam Pattern : There were total three parts for the hons exam. •Part -I (time 1 year) Hons: Mathematics (total 200 marks) Compulsory : Bengali (100 marks), English (100 marks) Elective : Physics, Chemistry (100 each) Part- II (time 1 year) Hons: Mathematics (total 200 marks) Elective : Physics, Chemistry (200 each) Part-III (time 1 year) Homs: Mathematics (total 400 marks) Compulsory: Environmental Studies (100 marks) Total Hons Marks : 800
Placement Experience
Direct job facilities are not available for my college as it is a science honours college but after passing the course everyone may find a suitable job individually. College doesn't provide any internship.
College Events
Fresher's Welcome Ceremony: A program held by the existing seniors of our college to bid welcome to the newly coming students. Teacher's Day: Every year 5th September we all celebrate this auspicious day along with teachers. Farewell Ceremony: A farewell programme to the current pass out students by the existing part-III students. Social Program: A general cultural program along with exhibition stalls and science projects.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Feasible. The college demands very feasible fees time by time for the registration, exam fees, student welfare committee, tour. All others programs are totally free and students hold these with a very negotiable fee. All fees given to the college are recorded in the computer data and challan.
Fees and Financial Aid
College directly provides no scholarship. But during the studies all government and private scholarships are available for a student. I got a scholarship myself during my time and it was very helpful. College only provides half free and full free for the hostel students. In half free one has to pay only half of the required fees. In full free one has to pay nothing for bed rent in hostel.
Campus Life
Labs are very clean and scientific (physics and chemistry labs) Mathematics dept owns a computer lab for programming language. Apart from this every dept owns their individual labs. Students welfare Committee of the college provides all the sports items and sports competition. Volleyball, cricket, football are very common and popular in our college.
Hostel Facilities
Sorry, I have not applied for this. Our college provides hostel facilities only for needy girl students. According to the reliable source and friends I must say that the fees structure of hostels are not too much and hostel infrastructure is very good. Hostel provides all facilities to a student (girl student).
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors are very helpful. In every situation if one can't directly get benefits from college then seniors help too much. Seniors are very helpful as they provide information on higher studies, jobs and exam pattern of the college, hostel facilities and all.
Admission
First of all college releases a notification for admission and for merit list in different subjects they considered the 10th marks and 12th marks together along with the 12th science subjects marks (since I have applied for mathematics honours). Considering the totals norms they published a merit list and I have selected for admission. Giving proper admission fees I admitted there.
Faculty
Great professors in one word. Not only they taught us how to score in exam with proper method also they gave us detail structures of the subject, the beauty of the subject, hidden features of the subject and clean knowledge about the subject. They participated all the programs held by us ( Teachers Day, Fresher's, Farewell, Social ). Also the best time, when we all with our professors spent a beautiful time in a short tour in December.
