Remarks

There is a lot of faith in our college that binds everyone together. The only drawback is Industrial visit. Andrew's has an Industrial visit of only 1 day. No over night visits. NSS takes you for a free cp of 7 days though.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

There are 52 subjects in total for 6 semesters. The exams are held semester wise. Internal examination of 20 marks are held a month before external examination of 75 marks. And group presentations are held for certain subjects.

Placement Experience

5

The placements are really good. I was placed this year by the college in IKS Healthcare and the package I received is of 3.5 LPA. Other big giants such as Morgan Stanley, Godrej, ICICI Bank were a part of this year's placement program. There is a placement cell in the college and the faculty head is the Vice Principal of Self financed courses.

College Events

4.5

We used to have 3 fests- Drama, Music and Dance. But last year they combined it all for one named Mosaic. It is a 3 day long fest and everyone is welcomed to attend and to volunteer. The head of the departments are selected after an interview round.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is really feasible. No extra cost. Everything is set by the University of Mumbai. And the fees doesn't go beyond 20,000 Rs. for professional courses. Hotel Management is a but expensive when compared to other courses. Bcom and BA are for Rs. 5000 only.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are a number of scholarships each year. They are all displayed on the college notice board and announcements are made in the classroom. The college office staff are really helpful to avail the scholarship. Also, top performers from each class gets a scholarship in the Annual function of the college.

Campus Life

4

Sports day is held each year in the Turf and everyone from students to professors are welcomed. There is also a NSS unit which works for social work. Apart from that every student in his final year has to compulsorily perform 20 hours of social service.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes the seniors are an absolute gem. They help in everything may it be studies or to help understand the functioning of fests and how you can perform well for the placement interviews. They will be with you from day one.

Admission

After my 12th results, I filled the admission form of the college on the college website. A week later the 1st merit list was displayed in the college campus and also I received an email about my name appearing in the merit list. We were given 2-3 days time to deposit the fees.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is very approachable and the head of the department is a Phd scholar and she will guide you entirely for your research project held in the last semester of the graduate program. Attendance is compulsory.

Course Curriculum Overview:

One of the key aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the B.Com course at Sydenham College was its strong foundation in core commerce subjects such as Accounting, Economics, Business Law, and Finance. The structured progression from basic to advanced concepts, along with exposure to subjects like taxation and auditing, made the program particularly appealing for students aiming for careers in finance, CA, CS, or management.

Placements society of college is just a decade old and still top companies like Zues Capital, Barclays, and Icici bank are among the top colleges that have become a part of ecosystem where 30-40 students is what each companies hires every year. Not many though as too many sections and 500+ students means getting placed even half the students can be a task where Mithibai placement percentage is 60 odd percentage.

Impeccable, amazing and unbelievable are the placements here. For B.Com which is as always a crowded college, making sure 60-70% students have placements through campus is a task not less than climbing everest. So definitely all I can say is our college has done so well that it is now the first choice college for commerce not just among Mumbaikars but overall as well.
