Remarks

College is good in some places but also has negative points as well. They don't allow students to stay outside after 6:00 p.m. and girls have a 7:00 p.m. hostel IN time and boys have 9:00 p.m. There are some rules that are applied to the dress code.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I am from a mechanical branch so according to me, the course structure is a little bit hectic due to long hours of classes. The exam structure is also a little bit hectic because you have to write exams almost after one month gap. There will be three exams are conducted by VIT. There will be 2 CAT (continuous assessment test ) and 1 FAT ( final assessment test) in one semester. CAT will be of 50 marks and FAT will be of 100 marks.

Placement Experience

4

I am in 3rd year and I didn't do with my internship but the placements are very good and yes VIT also provides internship and PPO for 4th and 3rd-year students. If you are in the CSE branch then there will be a lot of opportunities and probably you will get a good placement too. But for mechanical branch students there will be some difficulties in placements but in the end, they will also get placed.

College Events

3

Majorly there are two fests organized by VIT. One is a technical fest named Techo-VIT which is held in September for 3-4 days and the other one is the cultural fest named Vibrance which is held in February for 3-4 days. The events conducted in the fest are really good and productive. So overall both festivals are good.

Fee Structure And Facilities

According to my the tuition fees is quite feasible. It is comparable to IIT's and other private institutions too. VIT charge 1,98,000 for the CSE branch which is the highest price amongst any other branches.

Fees and Financial Aid

For the previous year, VIT offered scholarships but now I don't think so they are offering and scholarship. But for the first year, they can get a scholarship according to their rank in the entrance exam. They also provide education loans for the students with their banking partner Indian bank.

Campus Life

3.5

There are many things to do other than academics in VIT. Many clubs are there where a student can learn really good skills. In sports too they have good teams and in a year they take to around 5-6 tournaments outside the college.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostels are good, neat and clean. There are many options available for the hostel room. You can have 2 bed, 3 bed, 4 bed, 6 bed and option of A/C, Non-A/C. Each student get their own study table, fan and cupboard etc.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network in VIT is very good. They have their own website for alumni where alumni have to register and he/she can check anything is going on the campus. They organize convocation for alumni which is very quiet well.

Admission

I filled the entry form for the VIT which costs me around 900 rupees. The exam conducted by VIT is held in different cities of India. The examination contains 125 questions equally distributed in 30 questions for maths, physics, chemistry, and 5 questions for English. After the results, students called for counseling on their basis of the ranks they scored in the entrance exam. They asked for a DD of a specific amount according to the branch you want and there will be live counseling for all the VIT campuses. According to your branch reserved a seat and you got enrolled for VIT.

Faculty

3.5

The faculties are not so good or not so bad. It only depends on the student how he wants to study and the behavior of students in the class. There are many facilities who done their PhDs from IITs and having a great experience in teaching.

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

They focus heavily on communication , technical knowledge and competitive preparation ,align students with what top companies expect ,and contiuosly push us to improve and meet industry standards. Their structured training helped me to clearly identify my strengths and work on my weak areas, which made a huge difference during interviews and boosted my overall confidence. The department faculty are equally commnedable ,knowledgable ,approachable and genuinely invested in student career. Overall CIT is an excellent choice for anyone focused on building a strong and sucessful career
