Postives: ample of opportunities Negative : teachers fully focused on mugging up of theory rather than real time application. So I would rate this college 8/10. If the faculties are a bit better it would be an ideal college for me.

Exams are too hectic over here. Every month we have 10-12 days exams so we get very less time for own studies or research. We are just giving exams while semester and the semester passes out. The courses are intresting but the way of teaching is monotonous.

Yes, our college provides internship in research and development. I don't know about the stipend but yes i have heard about it. The placements average is 4-5 lakhs and mostly all the students eligible for placements get a job offer.

So, there is a lot of events happening in SRM. Expect exams, you will find workshops every weekend some non technical stuffs in a day or two. Means something great keeps on happening here every time. A great opportunity to learn and grow.

It's expensive. ?2,50,000 for one year. If srmjee rank is less than 10,000 Else ?3,50,000 per year if srmjee rank is more than that. Simplely its too difficult for a student of middle class Indian family to get through the finance.

I didn't get the scholarship but yes, more than 200 students got a scholarship here ranging for INR 62,500 to 1,75,000 based on SRMJEE (enterance exam) and need based. Also if you are a ward of any alumni you get 25% or a ward of teaching staff you get some discount.

Extracurricular are not that promoted by our teachers and they just tell us to stick to the long theories of EDUCATION SYSTEM. But in SRM, there are a lot of student clubs taking part in various competitions, research in all the fields. You name a talent, we have a club for it.

Yes i have opted for hostel, I am living in AC hostel and it's one of the best hostels ever seen. The non ac ones do not have a washroom and have 10-15 washrooms per floor but ac one do have a big one attached to the room. The girls hostel looks like an hotel here. Non ac isnt satisfactory but ac one is.

As i am in the alumni Affairs team of our college, I find alumnis very helpful and i am in the various clubs of our university. So i know a lot of seniors here and trust me that they are one of the best seniors I have ever got. My brother ayush goyal (2013 mech passout) is also an alumni of SRM(one of main reasons of joining SRM)

I got the admission through SRMJEE test which was the enterance exam for my college. I scored a rank of 9411 in srmjee and got cse branch during counselling. My counselling was on 1st day and my fees are 2.5 lakh INR per anumn

A few faculties are very good over here. But not all. Srm brands as top class faculty but most of them are srm alumni or nearby colleges passout. They focus more on some poor assignments and all which is of no use as evryone copies from each other. I guess they should give some more weighage towards extra curricular and Co curricular activities as well
