Remarks

our college is very small in area and there is hostel politics issue in the college, everything is in the control of hostelers. And the good thing are the faculty in the college is very good, the college follows a strict rule in its uniform in a way it is good

Placement here are good enough and top MNC's are recruiting skilled students. In this acadamic year we got 210 and the year before we got 220 our top package the year before was 10 lakhs per annum

College Events

Considering the overall college, we have different set of cultural events for college day celebrations annually. We also have different sports events in sports day celebrations. Each fest will be honored by experienced professionals from various fields of expertise.

There are several scheme for financially backward student to get aid in there studies, government also provide fees exemption to religiously backward class students, there are several scheme for academically bright students.

Life at CET

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of the college is very active. You can get internships starting 2nd year and placements starting 3rd year. About 75% of people get placed. Many MNCs like Texas Instruments are consistent hirers. The highest package of 2025 for my course is 1 crpa. The average is about 7 lpa. A student can get 5,6 offers. I plan on higher studies abroad because I want to learn more in-depth about the course.

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was never interested in engineering. I passed KEAM entrance exam. So my parents forced me to become an engineer. Since I was interested, I thought food technology might be a good branch in engineering. So I got admission in KUFOS through allotment. The course is actually good . In the 1st year, you study basic engineering, 2nd year onwards food related courses are taught. If you are a student who only have the intention to study you will find this college easy to adjust. They provide all facilities to study. There is no particular frequency for a semester. Even though academic calender is there for each batch it is not followed properly. In this college the course may last upto 4.5 years. Due to this reason the students ask the management to cut shot semester breaks so that they won't loose 1 year.

I first applied for most of the government engineering colleges. Then my next priority was to get into a best college other than the government ones. That's how I found college of engineering chengannur. I heard it is the second best IHRD college . So I fixed to get admission in this college.
