Good college for a better career

College is good but better maintenance and administration required to make it a top class university in India. Better faculties from IITs and top universities are required. This college has produced many renowned persons of india previously. Only negative is the infrastructure it a bit old.

The course structure is good however some practical things must be introduced for better exposure. There will be exam of 4 semesters one in the month of May and other in November/December. In 1st and 2nd semester there will be 5 theory and 2 practical papers. 3rd and 4th semester will only have evaluation of your project and thesis.

The placement for B.tech is very good in this college especially in software sectors. Some students get good core companies also. But placement opportunities for M. Tech students are very less. This college also provides intership specially to B. Tech students.

Many events are celebrated throughout the year in this university.Every department celebrates their functions department wise. Annual function sunburn also celebrated here which is very interesting and interactive.

The fee structure here is feasible as it is a government deemed university. The annual fee for a course will be around rupees 50,000/-. There will be some more fees as a one time fee during admission.

Many scholarships can be availed in this college. Government of Odisha provides a good amount of scholarship to all JEE rank holders. AICTE provides GATE stipend of Rs. 12,400/- pm to GATE qualified M. Tech students. Loan facilities available from all leading banks.

Many more extracurricular activities are going on through out the year. Some students have got international exposure and international awards also. The labs are good but it can be done better with some new equipment and maintenance.

I have not opted for hostel however there are many hostels named like Kratu, Angira, Marichi, Vasistha, Arundhati etc. separately for boys and girls. Some hostels are very old buildings and some are very new. New buildings are very good. Old buildings are a bit average in condition. The mess facilities is very good and tasty.

There is a facebook page for VSSUT alumnis for staying connected. Alumni's are placed in good positions across the globe. They are helpful and active in the matters related to this college. They also guides juniors to achieve their goals.

For getting admission into M.Tech courses first preference will be given to GATE qualified candidates. If after counselling of such students, any seat remains vacant other students can be admitted based their career evaluation

The faculties can be said good only. Some are outstanding and some are average. You need to focus more on self study rather than faculties. Some are not much experienced in M.Tech paper. Faculties from IITs are very good and has a clear concept.
