Govt Engineering College, Palakkad

I like my college's infrastructure. We have a single building for 5 branches out here. We have sports complex. We have lots of co curricular activities conduted. But we have a problem of stray dogs here.

I'm doing my undergraduation in the course Btech Computer Science. I like the curriculum in my college. We have here two internal exams and a university exam. We must have 75% attendance in each subject and a minimum internal mark to appear for the university exam.

We have a placement cell in the college. They conduct several aptitude test to train the students. Several IT companies conduct placement in our college and some core companies also conduct the placement.

We have a arts days for cultural events, sports meet and we also conduct technical fest in the college and as part of the technical fest we conduct Motor Expo also. We also celebrate Onam, Christmas, Eid, Ethnic Day, Vishu, Diwali, Holi.

We have a college fees of Rs.8225 for each semester and an exam fees of Rs.1700 for each semester. Comparing to other private colleges the fees in our college is very feasible. The extra expenses are also very less.

Scholarships like egrantz, MCM, central sector scholarship, and some other scholarships are provided from the college. We can apply for educational loans in the name of our college with a minimum of 10% interest.

We have lots of clubs in the college. For sports, arts, literature ,IEEE, IEDC, FOSS and so on. Every student is a member of at least one or more clubs. The teachers are also very supportive. We have arts days and sports days.

We have an alumni meet conducted each year in our college. It's named ETERNO. Many of them attend this meet and share their career here. We get a motivation from them while doing this. We have a very nice bond with the alumnis.

I wrote Kerala entrance examination and achieved a rank below 10000. I first got admission in Govt Engineering College, Wayanad. In the second allotment I got admission here, Govt Engineering College, Palakkad. I got admitted here in merit itself.

The teachers are very sincere and dedicated towards their profession. They are the backbone of our success. They put their maximum effort for us. They are very friendly too and supports us for co curricular activities also.
