Remarks

Outdated system, monopolistic environment, outdated course syllabus. Non-uniform system, lack of knowledge among students as well as professors. No one cares or bother about you whether you have knowledge about it or not.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course structure is good. You will study a full fledged 34 subjects and 2 honours. In B.com subjects related to law, communication, business policy, industrial behavior and relation, technology, accounting, GST, Insurance ,etc. are there.

Internships Opportunities

No. To the b.com students they don't. But if you will apply to placement cell then they will allow you to sit for interview. MBA students have internship and placement both. MBA placement was around average of 4 lakh and highest was 7 lakh.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placements are quite good. Mostly the banking companies come for the placement. One of my senior got the internship last year in RBI patna. As heard about others they are also placed with average of 4 lakhs.

College Events

3

In my faculty i.e. Faculty of Commerce not a single faculty event. Only spandan is organises at university level once in year in the month of March. Every faculty participates in it. At university level we have Jhanki at Saraswati pooja cum establishment day of BHU, republic day parade, etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is too much feasible. For the students who have qualified the cut off list, the fees for bachelor programme is in between 2000 -3000 in first semester, in even semester it is in between 300-400. This fees is for day scholars and main campus students. Hostelers have to pay for hostels as well so their fees is quite higher than us, but not more than 3000. At the tim of admission they used to pay around 4000. Paid seats are also available the fees for paid seats is in between 25000-35000 in addition to regular fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

No. Our college doesn't offer any loan facility for college students. Students can take it on their own. Scholarship are not from college you can take benefits of scholarships avail by government. Even the MBA don't have loan facilities.

Campus Life

4

Extra curricular activities are there. In science faculty labs are good, sports, NSS, Mountaineering and NCC are also there. But the basic issue is student has to run for the same, that means no one will bother about you. If you want to take up on something reach the concerned department not even the faculty.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel infrastructure is so good. But food is good at some hostels and not good at some. They provide meals as follows:- 2 breakfast, 1 lunch and 1 dinners along with fruits and dahi. Some hostel also have non- veg food facilities. Filters and water coolers are available at every hostels.

Alumni/Alumna

No alumni network. Even if you will go the website the list of alumni has not been updated. We don't have alumni meet. Yes the seniors with whom you have maintained your relation at personal they are helpful. Students are good but the system isn't.

Exam Structure

Exams are semester wise. It used to schedule in the month of May for even semesters and in the mid of nov or in dec for odd semesters. All the courses of Banaras Hindu University have their respective semester exams in these months.

Admission

Through Entrance exam, first write a CBT exam , qualify the cut off list. After this, through the online protal and email id call letters will be issued for counselling. After the verification of the documents you will get admission either in main campus or affiliated based on your index mark and cut off list.

Faculty

2.5

Faculty is quite good. They have knowledge but they won't tell you due to lack of interest in teaching. Yes, in my faculty I faced the same. They are not interested in teaching you except few professor which I can count on my fingers of a hand.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is good but i belive there should be more flexibility and more diverse topics should be taught as i mentioned earlier there should be something related to drama and skit and acting as it enriches the creative side of the students and also it is very necessary for a management student to have a creative skills too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The core circular is moderately relevant but lens more forward theory than the practical application code, subject cover, fundamental concept and providing a base, but there is limited focus on industrial skill project work, coding or case studies which affect real world redness. Elective options are few restricting subject choice. The labour is mostly fake and really updated making it less aligned with the current industry. Trends exams are conducted twice a year medicine and M with internal contributing about 30% of the mark the frequency naval but timing of clashes with the critical session level is moderate theory tends to focus on road learning rather than the critical thinking. Overall the circular needs to more practical exposure, updated content and flexibility to prepare student for employment or higher studies.

There are total 6 semester in my course. The students become eligible for the course from the 4th semester onwards. The placements are not good in the college. It's very average. The highest package of the college is 4 lakh per annum. The average package of the college is nearly about 2.5 Lakh per annum. The lowest package of the college is 1.8 lakh per annnum. Nearly about 50% of the students got placement from the college. After getting the degree, my plan is to pursue the higher studies and do government exams preparation.

Admission:

The admissions are purely based on merit. The eligibility criteria is a student must have passed INTERMEDIATE WITH 40% FOR GENERAL AND OBC, SC/ST -33% MARKS. There is no Interview and the total number of seats intake are 80. The admission process is quite straightforward and lucid. I chose B.com because it provides a broad scope of employment options and job scope for graduates as a large number of B.Com graduates choose to pursue self-employment or land lucrative salary packages in prestigious companies.

Starting off with the negative effects of attending college. Tuition has skyrocketed over the years leaving college students thousands of dollars in debt right out of high school, since many people cannot afford to fully pay their schooling off. Going in that much debt is a huge benefactor of people attending college because many people just cannot afford it.
