Remarks
The college management treats the students like a CBSE school students but teaching as well as non-teaching staffs are in good correlation with the sudents. College makes the student to be disciplined as it follows disciplinary action.
Course Curriculum Overview
As I was the final batch of the university I have studied(Kannur University), I could explain about it as well as about the university of my juniors. The Kannur University was still following the ancient type curriculum but the KTU, that is followed my juniors is a little bit better as it atleast complete their programs and exams on time
Placement Experience
College does not ensure the placement of the student. I can say that the college offers placement assistance; not the placement. And from my knowledge there is no student of my college who got placement in the same stream he/she had completed but instead in other streams that also for very few.
College Events
Some of the events celebrated at the college are; 1. Freshers day, 2. Onam celebration, 3. College day, 4. Arts day 5. Sports day 6. Departmental Association programs of different departments say ME, CE, ECE, EEE And many other small big days like environment day, teachers day, reading day etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible for the middle class and expensive for lower class. My fee structure was; Tuition fee- Rs 75,000/- College bus fee- Rs 6,500/- (21kms varrying with the distance) And many other fees like examination fee, celebration fee etc combining about Rs 10,000 per annum
Fees and Financial Aid
I have got MOMA scholarship which stand for Ministry Of Minority Affairs which worth about Rs 25000/- per annum and many other government offered scholarships can be gained from the college. Almost all the governments scholarships can be claimed but one scholarship at a time for a student.
Campus Life
College is good at extracurricular activities and has many clubs to make sure each student participate in atleast 1 extracurricular activity. Also the NSS at the college is one of the best rated in the area. College labs are well equipped with good quality machines so that the practicals becomes useful in the future. Physical education department controls the sports of the college and has had one of best cricket team when I was studying whom went on qualifying for interzone competitions.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is not yet begun but there is a plan to start the alumni association to get reunited again with the friends focusing on the charity and relief to the ones that requires. Even before the start of alumni association, the class whatsapp group was active in flood relief in the past two years both physically and financially.
Admission
After having passed the entrance examination of state government I have got merit seat at a college thats far from my home. As I liked to continue as a day scholar, I joined my college (College of Engineering and Technology Payyanur) with the same entrance result via management quota.
Faculty
Mechanical department has about 10 teaching faculties in the department and is the most and the other departments have lesser faculties according to the no. of students in the respective departments.
