Remarks

Everything has it's good and bad side, but as said before College is my haven. Before entering I thought whether it would be worth it or not, but it turned out to be very good. From good friends to friendly faculty, everything is good in here!

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is very structured. Since the stream is based on practical work more than theory, it's very easy to understand and interesting. The exam structure is 6 semesters for 3years i.e. 2 semesters for each year.

Placement Experience

4

The college provides internship after the completion of 3rd semester. Since I'm in the middle of my 3rd sem, I haven't received any internship yet. But, as far as I've heard from my seniors they are being provided with good internships, their experience was good as well.

College Events

5

HAFF- Heritage Academy Film Festival. My college is one of the few colleges in Kolkata which hosts it's own film festival. Students submit their films on different categories like Fiction and Non-fiction. A competition on Film Quiz is also being held. Eminent film makers are called for to judge the events. AD ADDA- The Heritage Academy is the only college which hosts an event on Advertisement and Marketing. Several competitions like Brand Pitching, Film Marketing, Sustainable Fashion Marketing, Copywriting, Ad Jingles falls under this event.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since it's a private college, the fee is 3 lakh, 12 thousand for 3 years. Since it has all the facilities like a television studio, mac labs, good equipment like PXW-X70 cameras for the students, I think it's quite feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since the college is under a trust, a scholarship is being provided to students who are in need of it. They've to give certain exams and show proper reasons to administration about why they're asking for the scholarship.

Campus Life

5

Labs are extremely good. We work on Mac OS with installation of Adobe and FCP. There's a television studio with PCR room. Extremely good facilities are being provided to the students. Annual Sports is being held yearly.

Alumni/Alumna

All of them in the Alumni have got good jobs and are settled. Most of the seniors are good (exceptions are always there, though!), yes they are helpful, as well. The department has got defined unity within itself.

Admission

I got to know about my college from a friend. I showed up one fine day to enquire about my course. They showed me the labs on that very day. I liked the place very much and sat for giving entrance test and interview. I got selected and was called for the final interview. The Dean of the department took my interview and she selected me.

Faculty

Amazing! I'm currently studying in the 3rd semester and all of them are my favourite. Everyone is just like a friend which makes it more easier for us to approach to them with whatever difficulties we face.

I currently in 2nd year, so I don't have much idea about placements that college offers. But have a brief idea on the besis of the seniors. My collage provides internships, and the average package is also good. From the sixth semester one can become eligible for internships. My plan is to study further, Msc and PhD.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was well-structured, and each semester, there were projects and presentations that also helped to test our knowledge. I got influenced as the curriculum provides us with financial economics, political economics, and Applied mathematics. The level of the exams was decent, related to the course. They could improve in teaching more practical knowledge and projects related to that, instead of only learning in a theoretical way.

Placement Experience:

Placements and job oppurtinities are less since this is an undergraduate college offwering honours degree. Though there is a placement and career councelling cell that looks over this matter. Placements are offered only in a few subjects, such as industrial chemisrty and computer science. The rate of placements are very high and come with high packages. Though I am not interested in placements, but I have started taking preparations for compititive exams. Such preparations are very supported here, rather than jobs and placements.
