Remarks

This answer may vary from person to person but I personally am genuinely happy with my college experience and I am looking forward to my final year. (This 200 characters limit is going to kill me. Just kidding)

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The college is under MAKAUT and the media syllabus of the university is pretty advanced and up to date. There are continuous assessment exams every month and semesters every 6 months. In every semester there r 2 internal assessment papers the marks of which are added on the Semester marksheets.

Placement Experience

4

Yes the college does provide internships. At our level, the opportunities mostly include unpaid internships at PR firms and media agencies. There are also filmmaking and Editing related jobs that we are exposed to.

College Events

4

Ad Adda: It's an advertising and PR event where we pitch our ideas in front of Stalwarts of the industry. World Theatre Day: Since media studies are closely related to Theatre, we celebrate world theatre day with our own production. Teachers Day: Cultural Event organised by students HAFF (Heritage Academy Film Festival) - Filmmaking event where budding filmmakers from top instituitions participate to showcase their work. Epignosis: Annual fest of the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure is expensive but it is worth it as the college provides us with the facilities that most other colleges don't have which includes our very own television studio where we can produce our very own productions.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college does not actually provide any such facilities at least not that I am aware of. This 200 characters limit is very disturbing. Sorry for writing lame things at the end of the answers but seriously I have nothing else to do.

Campus Life

4.5

There are college sports teams for Cricket Football and Tug off war. There is a singing club, a dance club, a college fashion team and our own theater group. We have a MAC lab and we have a Hi-tech television studio for professional use and experience.

Hostel Facilities

4

I have not opted for hostel but my friends are quite satisfied with the facilities and infrastructure. I really do not have much idea about the hostel but I am just continuing to type since 200 characters is a compulsion.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are really helpful and friendly. In my 2 years in college never has anyone ever spoken rudely to me. Our seniors always look out for us and help us in times of confusion and distress. In Heritage all of us work together and make things happen.

Admission

My friend recommended me the college. I went to the administration office with all the requided documents. I was directly interviewed by the Dean of the department and my admission was confirmed 3 days later.

Faculty

5

The faculty is very friendly and helpful. The primary focus of the faculty is to teach without wasting time unlike other instituitions I have witnessed and they do a pretty good job of doing so. We have minimal holidays and our curriculars are given much more importance than the extracurriculars.

Placement Experience:

I currently in 2nd year, so I don't have much idea about placements that college offers. But have a brief idea on the besis of the seniors. My collage provides internships, and the average package is also good. From the sixth semester one can become eligible for internships. My plan is to study further, Msc and PhD.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was well-structured, and each semester, there were projects and presentations that also helped to test our knowledge. I got influenced as the curriculum provides us with financial economics, political economics, and Applied mathematics. The level of the exams was decent, related to the course. They could improve in teaching more practical knowledge and projects related to that, instead of only learning in a theoretical way.

Placement Experience:

Placements and job oppurtinities are less since this is an undergraduate college offwering honours degree. Though there is a placement and career councelling cell that looks over this matter. Placements are offered only in a few subjects, such as industrial chemisrty and computer science. The rate of placements are very high and come with high packages. Though I am not interested in placements, but I have started taking preparations for compititive exams. Such preparations are very supported here, rather than jobs and placements.
