Remarks

It’s a nice place to learn and also meet new people but at the same time it is overcrowded with students. Around the main campus at vellore there is nothing much to do during free time. There is no ragging in the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

It’s a fully flexible credit system which means from the second semester students will be allowed to choose their subjects, faculty and France their own timetable and we have two pre-semester exams and one final semester exam

Placement Experience

3

Placements are pretty good as of what I hear. But VIT actually does support you to go for higher education. Students are placed based on their cgpa and there are categories like super dream offer, dream offer etc.

College Events

3

Beginning with Gravitas, which is a tech test held in our college in the month of October. Later in the month of February is held the cultural fest called Riviera which is among the best college fests in India

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is based on the rank and the stream you choose. If you’re rank is not good then you might have to pay extra which comes a bit expensive but in the first and second category the fee is neither too high nor too low.

Fees and Financial Aid

Students ranked between 1-1000 in the entrance exams can avail upto full scholarships. For the other students there is no such scholarship. Loans can be availed individually through a bank but the college doesn’t provide any facility like that.

Campus Life

3.5

VIT is among the college which has a very good sports reputation. There are separate fuels and courts for every sport but everything has to be paid extra and the ones in the hostels are less maintained. Labs are equipped with state of the art facilities. There are also various extracurricular activities in the college.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostels are pretty bad and this also is shouted to you based on your cgpa. There are only common toilets for students in the toilets with very less privacy. Rooms and hostels are overcrowded. The food served here is better than other hostels though.

Alumni/Alumna

I don’t really know much about the alumni but the senior students are very helpful and try to guide us through everything and also keep track of us through watsapp groups and also don’t mind sharing their personal numbers in case if any help.

Admission

I was admitted through the college entrance exam. Once you clear the exam, counselling will be held depending on the rank you scored in the exam and respective courses can be selected depending on the number of seats left

Faculty

4.5

All the faculty in VIT are among the best and highly qualified though some are less experienced in teaching but have very high qualifications. Every faculty member has their own influence among the academic point of view where they can help you get internships and extra curricular studying from other institutes.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

Placement Experience:

Chennai Institute of Technology is an instituition that truly prioritizes student career growth . The placement cell is exceptionallu well-organized ,consistently connecting students with reputed companies across various industries. What makes CIT stood out is the quality of its training staff. They focus heavily on communication , technical knowledge and competitive preparation ,align students with what top companies expect ,and contiuosly push us to improve and meet industry standards. Their structured training helped me to clearly identify my strengths and work on my weak areas, which made a huge difference during interviews and boosted my overall confidence. The department faculty are equally commnedable ,knowledgable ,approachable and genuinely invested in student career. Overall CIT is an excellent choice for anyone focused on building a strong and sucessful career
