A good ambienced college

We get to travel inside and outside of the state for it >The South India tour and All India tour from the college comprising industrial visit is an unforgettable experience >Syllabus is vast but the semester comprised of around 4 months so the classes can't cover whole the syllabus. But its not a huge problem if you are willing you can refer library and contact the faculty when ever needed.

Course curriculum is nice with semester system. The Bfsc comprised of 8 semesters, of which last 2 semesters are of Internship, training, project. Exam consists of internals (50 marks) and externals (50 marks) and also practicals for 100 marks (50 marks practical exam + 20 mark VIVA, 20 mark records, 10 mark assignments). You need to secure 50% marks cumulatively in Theory and Practical and separate 40% marks each in Theory & Practical to pass

Last 2 semesters are provided with internship and we get well exposed in the industry which gave us an amazing experinece to secure a job later. Basic stiphent amount in around 45k and you can earn more by working in Experienced Learning Programme in the last 2 semesters.

There is an elected college union and under it there are alot of activites like film club, music club e.t.c. University level sports and arts are also conducted. All occassions like Onam, Eid, Christmas are very well celebrated in college. Annual college day, freshers programme, and many events are conducted.

For Bfsc the fee is feasible, around ?7000 per semester. And one time small fee below ?2000 at the time of admission was also there. Fee for other courses can be vary as they are coming under KUFOS university whereas bfsc follow ICAR curriculum.

Egrantz scholarship can be available through college for selected categories of students based on community. There is a merit scholarship too for students securing good marks. MCM scholarship can also be available.

Microbiology, Biotechnology and Health department labs are very good. Other labs have resources but have a common room to share. Extra curricular activites comprised of NSS, NCC, Earn While You Lear Programmes e.t.c College teams were participated in cricket and football tournaments conducted nearby

Hostel life is the soul of KUFOS. Mess fee will be around ?2500 per month and ?1800 as hostel rent per semester, thats it. Hostel has dormitory for freshers. After 2-3 months you will get transferred to rooms having 3 members in a good conditioned room. Final year students get single room. Hostel has gymnasium, table tennis court, wifi, common bathrooms, a centre courtyard used to play badminton.

College has an alumni network. Seniors are very much helpful in every aspects including job recommendations, higher studies. You need to experience the hostel life with seniors to be bold infront of the society. Whatsapp group also there comprising most of the seniors even who were studied vey long back ago in the college

I got admission through kerala medical entrance exam of 2016. You have to secure a not so bad medical rank to get admission in this college for Bfsc. You can also get admission through ICAR UG entrance exam. I wrote about admission to the Bfsc course. There are alot of other PG and UG courses are also offered in this University cum college, which have a different means of admission

Experienced faculties in most departments. Some guest teachers are also there as from 2017 onwards the number of bfsc batches increased to two per academic year. Some teachers were once the students of this college itself.
