Review of government college of engineering, Amravati

As our college is Autonomous, all the papers are framed and checked by the college faculties, so if any of the subject is back you can reappear to in the exam in summer term, so you don't have to waste a complete semester for that

They are around 40 subjects in a span of 4 years divided in 8 semesters having 5 subjects each. In each semester, there is Class test 1&2, and an end semester exam, altogether we have to score 40/100 to pass the subject.

Talking about placements, it's best for compute science and Information technology department. For campus interviews the companies which visit our college are Amazon, TCS digital, wipro, cognizant, Siemens, etc. Average package here is around 3.5-4 LPA. Highest package last year was of 20LPA.

We have a total of 3 major events in our college. 1st comes the Alumni meet, were we invite 25 years older batch, for 2 days. The 2nd is Prajwalan, which is a National level Technical Festival of 2 days. The 3rd one is Zenith, which is a cultural event of 2 days.

Fee structure is too expensive for OPEN catogary students. It changes every year. OBC, SC, ST, NY catogary fees are feasible. There are a few seats of TFWS available in each streams that can be opted at the time of CAP rounds.

I am not eligible for any kind of scholarships that our college provide. But yes there are some scholarships that can be applied for. We have a sperate scholarship section in our college, there you get all the information related to it.

In extra curricular activities we have art club, dance club, drama club, etc. Lab equipments are quite old, some work, some doesn't. Talking about sports, we have Gymkhana which organizes different sports activities throughout the year, we have a sports event called KCT.

Yes, seniors are too helpful. All the queries related to academics are solved by the seniors. Seniors help with lab manuals, projects, assignments, etc. We have an alumni association which helps the needy students with fees or other college stuffs.

First we have to appear for MHT-CET exam, then after knowing our rank, all the documents verification will be done, then CAP rounds are held. If we got a seat in any of the branches, we have to report at the college and confirm our seat by paying the fees.

Faculties are good. but not the best! Lectures are taken regularly, 75% attendance is compulsory. Some faculties fail to complete the whole syllabus, while some do compete on time! Sometimes it may happen that the college lack faculties for some subjects.
