My College Review

Actually I have a mixed opinion about my college. In the academic area our college is the best in class. In every semester there will be a university rank holder. But in the other side our management is not as good.

The course is completely concentrating on theory only. I think its just like 'spoon feeding' to students. The caliber of students are not considering. We are having semester exams twice in a year. Total 8 semester exams within 4 years.

Placements are their in my college. But I am not satisfied with that. Most of the companies are IT or software based. So for a technical student like me it will be better to get a job in my core sector (electrical). Our college does not provide internship programs.

There will be a inaugural function at the starting of new academic year. Every year their will be 'ONAM' and 'Christmas' Celebrations. Also their will be grand Anniversary celebrations. Once in 4 years our college will conduct Tech Fest.

For merit students it will be feasible.It costs around ?70000 per year. But for students admitted by management quota fee is so much expensive. So for a non merit student it costs about 5lakhs for the entire course.

Ofcourse our college provides loan facility with low interest. I think it will be very useful for students with poor family background. And also for different caste the fee may be lower. The student loan has only a low interest rate.

The students themselves organize intercollege tournaments for cricket, football, volleyball etc. There is no interest in sports from athe managent side. The lab favilities in our college are really good. They are technically good for practical experiments.

Ofcourse no, there is no alumni meeting or meetup. There is no connection with the college after we left there. I think this is a worst situation. They must organise a alumni network atleast in the future.

I got the admission via merit list of the entrance examination conducted by the state government (Kerala). There is also management quaota for admission. It costs about 1 lakh indian rupee. The entrance examination for engineering will be conducted every year by the state government.The students who get atleast the cut off marks will be appeared in the merit list. So according to the demand of college the priority of marks scored will vary.

The are well trained and very responsible with their duties. They are always friendly to the students. Doing their duties well done. The portions will be covered within the provided time. So we will get time to prepare for exams.
