Remarks

The positive of the college is that it is an opportunity hub.like it's a resourceful college that has many things to do with it.There is studies, extracurricular activities, Fun events, Workshops, Fests , Seminars and boy what not. The negative with the college is that it's arrogant administration and some rules which change now and then. It also has to improve the teaching of the faculty because most of the faculty here are to just work for salary but they don't seem to be teaching in a way a student wants.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is flexible with the students and also gets updated with present conditions. It's pretty helpful for students to be studying the present technology. Here the exam pattern is like this - Minor 1 (10)+ Mid(30) + Minor 2 (10) + End(50) = 100. Lab exam pattern is different. It is a professors choice.

Placement Experience

4.5

In placements NIT Warangal stands at 1nd position among all the NITs. Along with placements internships are provided. PPOs are a offered to students who got internships. There are lots of companies that come to NIT Warangal. I am still to get an internship so can't talk about the experience.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Quite Expensive I would say (1,50,000 at most). I mean if you have an annual income below 1 Lakh, you will have to pay zero Turion fee. What still you have to pay is Hostel and mess fee which costs around 50000 per year. If you have income in between 1-5 Lakhs then you have to pay one third of the tuition fee. If you are not of any above category then you will have to pay complete fee.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is merit scholarship for the merit students (decided by your cgpa in NIT Warangal). Loan facility is available though. It is available through the SBI branch present in the college itself. When you first join the college you can apply for the loan that can be used from next semester. For the loan you need not provide any collateral because your seat in the college itself is a collateral. But it's a tidy process.

Campus Life

4

We have almost 20 clubs in here. Each one has its own events. You will be pretty covered on some aspects dance, music, painting, robotics, writing, quiz etc with the clubs. Here the college has large grounds, so you can play cricket, football, tennis badminton, volleyball etc each sport has its own ground space. There is a cricket stadium, football ground, volleyball court tennis court, indoor badminton court. And to add to that there are lot of events around sports. Coming to labs they are functional. You can use them during academics also if you are doing any project. They are pretty helpful.

Hostel Facilities

4

There are different blocks for different year students. On an average taking all the hostels into account I would rate 7/10. I can surely say mostly you will not get disappointed. Every hostel is provided with basic facilities and Internet for every student.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, there are some events which bring our alumni to meet the students. We have interactive sessions with alumni as well as our seniors. They guide us in a way that we can be able to get some knowledge on how we can achieve campus placement. They explain the dos and don'ts and also resume making for a specific field of interest. They are basically an experience which help us a lot in campus placement.

Admission

Through JEE Mains Exam. After getting a good rank, I had to register in JOSAA website using JEE details like Hall Ticket no.and other details. Save the registration details. Download the information brochure for seat allotment procedure. Wait for the counselling rounds and check for your allotment. After allotment of seat I selected float and got better seat in the last round. Then according to the college allotted follow the instructions from the college website for registration.

Faculty

3.5

Most of the faculty are highly educated and knowledgeable. They are helpful for students even out of working hours. But many lectures are not able to teach that good. Some of them may even behave rude.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
