Vishal R. Khatri's Review On Government Engineering College - [GEC], Modasa

The all buildings are good structured, but civil building is very old and should be rebuilt.The management is good for students study and also for extracurricular activities the placement should be improved in this college.

I took JEE and i got 76 marks out of 360! this was enough to get the rank below 10000 my rank was 8000 in gujarat.I want to choose mechanical or civil branch but it was difficult to get mechanical at such poor rank and specially for open category candidate and i was easily selected in civil engineering in gec,modasa and also my second choice was civil. This me to choose civil in gec,modasa in my hometown.

The civil engineering course structure is very very good the scope of research in this curriculum is very broad the faculties in our college are all experienced and qualified they are fully interested to teach us the course.

I am in 3rd year. So i have not experienced the internship so far.

In our college there is bit placement done sometimes, not every year the companies like l&t, r&b, etc come for the placement and they offer the package between 3 to 6 lakh.

This college holds many of festivals like technical,cultural festivals,etc.These festival is limited to college only the cul-fest named yuwa-21 was held last time and the huge participation is done in these festivals even the huge numbers of girls participate in these type of the festivals.These festivals also focus on the women empowerment!

The hostel facilities are overall good here the boys hostel is provided the fees is negligible because it is a government hostel the mess food is ok according to the fees.I will rate it 7 out of 10 the hostel seats are limited so in case of pg ,the average rent is 5000 per flat, or 1000 per student per month overall modasa is good city to live.

Yes,there is scholarship available for the students one can avail about 10000 per year directly in bank account this is enough to have for a student to spend a year and one can avail loan from the banks there are many banks in modasa that give study loans at low interest.

The campus life in this college is best the overall gender ratio is 50 to 100.There is the free environment for girls and boys and zero tolerance is there no ragging is done in this college this college is good for extracurricular activities faculties always empower students to take part in extracurricular activities like sports, debates, group discussion, quiz, and many other competitions that are held oftenly in the college campus.

The alumni network is overall good.The senior students are very much useful to junior and seniors are very helpy to juniors my seniors treat me like friend in one subject it was difficult to pass, then i contacted one of the senior to help me in that subject he helped me and i passed it out easily in all activities the seniors are very helpful to us.
