About GEC
Government Engineering College Bhavnagar is a State-governed educational institution in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, and Recognized by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).The Institute was established in 2004. The institute was affiliated to Bhavnagar University till April 2008, and is now affiliated to the Gujarat Technological University (GTU), Ahmadabad.
- The current campus of the institute was inaugurated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 18 February, 2009
- Vision of the college is "To transform students into good human beings, responsible citizens and employable engineering graduates through imbibing human values and excellence in technical education”
- Mission of the college is “To educate students from the local and rural areas, so they become enlightened individuals, improving the living standards of their families, industry and society. We will provide individual attention, quality education and take care of character building”
- College is 1.5 km away from the State transport Depot and 2.5 km away from Bhavnagar Railway Station
- Government Engineering College, Bhavnagar has boys and girls hostel with intake of 99 each. Each hostel has 33 rooms with all basic facilities. Hostels are located at prime location of Bhavnagar .Each hostel has student committee for welfare and maintenance of hostels.

I applied through ACPC and i got this college by choice filling where it had 100+ colleges either directly GTU affiliated or Private, For state students GUJCET is primarly while others must have good numbers in JEE

I had applied for LDCE, SS GANHDY and many more Due to my lacking in doing choice filling I didn't got Addmission in SS gandhy where as in LDCE, I got chemical where as CSE had high merit, So i didn't choosed it Admission process is done by ACPC, which is done online, It's on Merit based
Likes
- Completes full syllabus and also Clear the question by students, provide more practical knowledge.
- Full focus on student personality development and very strict about attendance.
Dislikes
- There is not such things to dislike but the classroom doesn't have air conditioners and the humidity is high in the class.
- The drinking water facility is under maintenance more time.
Admission:
According to the acpc ranking the addmissiona are given. The department like IT and computer requirements more cut-off and the civil and mechanical branch required less marks and cut off. To take addmission the acpc form is filled. Also the reservation is provided in cut off.

- No permission for laptops in library , nearly empty class rooms

12 and gujcet were two examination required for the exam ,you can apply for the exam using acpc forms that is conducted by government of Gujarat with 3 rounds for seat allocation in various colleges of Gujarat

- One thing that they don't allow much to use mobile phones in classroom
Admission:
Should be 12 pass for eligiblity Admission is given on the bases of gujcet exam cut and counseling called acpc college fees you have to pay there On the bases of cut off you will get reservation for OBC SC st category Gujcet is taken once in year and it's difficult level is slightly medium to hard level than board exam I don't think there is any area for improvement in this process

- I like the behaviour and politeness of every faculty of this college.
- I also like the classroom and labs also which very big and ane lab contain 70 PC's.
Dislikes
- Many time this was happen that there is water cooler leaked.
- In viva session the schedule is not so good.
Admission:
This is the government college of Gujarat so the admission process is based on ACPC rank and this rank will be counted based on gujcet and 13th board marks. You can also apply for admission online but you have to visit the college at least once got complete the admission

- There are big library with all types of books.
Dislikes
- Some times submission is too long to complete.
- Canteen is big but not give us to lounch.
Admission:
In my college admission process throughout the acpc web Portal and filling out the form of acpc and gave us three rounds of the admission process and some branches-wise cutoff so it is a very hard process.

- I like I.T. branches faculties. They all are very kind and helpfull.
- I like library of our college. Because of best seller books.
Dislikes
- I am not satisfied with lab computers and internet.
- Sometimes i hate our college toilet. Because sometimes it's not clean.
Admission:
Our college will be not arranging any entrance exams. In our college admission is based on GSEB board Merit(60%) + Gujcet(40%). The cutoff of our college is high in Computer science and Information and technology branches. And other branches like civil, mechanical, and EC have a medium cutoff.

- Good campus because greenery in the campus.
- good facility in campus like canteen, and etc.
Dislikes
- some of the member of faculty is too strict.
- any physical activity is not provide by college.
Admission:
The admission process is based on the gujcet and hsc examination of one state rank conversation and my college cut-off is near about in the First round, and the last round of cut-off is near about 28000 in state rank.
Likes
- Education system, campus, library, environment of college
- The college life is giving us to chance to grow.
Dislikes
- The students have been planning for mass bunk not valid reson.
- Assignments submission is really tedious.
Admission:
The admissions was taken based on entrance exam GUJCET then participating in ACPC counselling and further secure admissions after many rounds of it.In acpc counselling 3 round and we get admissions in college .In 3 round we can applying minimum one or more upto 3.In acpc we get chance to practice round that was only practice and try to practice your admission process.
