Remarks
Regarding infrastructure and facilities it is a premium college but its location is little bit disadvantageous for it. Due to its location most of the companies rarely visit here. But if u have caliber then offcampus job is good option.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is basically same like all other engineering colleges. But from this year few changes are made. No matter what your branch is you have to study these subjects - engineering chemistry, engineering mathematics, basic electrical engineering, material science and engineering, communication skills. Exams are quite tough this year.
Placement Experience
Placements records of last two years are mindblowing. Highest package for CSE dual branch this year is 1.2 crore which is more than even north IIT's. Highest package for mechanical is 35lpa. A good opportunity of internship is provided. College give you chance to go to foriegn for intership. Recently a boy did his intership from canada. Stipend is given for final year mtech students.
College Events
Lots of events are celebrated here but my personal favourite is hillfair. I hill fair no restriction on boys and girls. You can meet a girl which you want to meet and confess her. All other regional events are also celebrated here.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is quite affordable. Approx 25k for mess and hostel per semester and appros 70k for tuition fee per sem. But if your income is less than 1lpa or you are a SC/ST student then full tuition fee remission is given.
Fees and Financial Aid
Like all NIT this NIT also offer fee refund program and scholarship. Scholarship are gives on the basis of your grades and only given to sc st obc but not to genera students. But you can apply for other scolarships like up scholarships if u have domicile of UP.
Campus Life
Labs are well equipped. Separate labs for all departments. Sports ground is also enough big to hold thousands of students at a time.Sports like cricket volleyball table tennin basket ball badmimton all are availbe and you can play when u want without any permission.
Hostel Facilities
Only word i say is mindblowing hostels. All required facilities availabe. Infra of hostel are so good that i will rate is 9.5 out of 10.But there is some restrictions on first year students, they are not allowed to go outside the hostel after 6pm due to ragging. But there are some secret ways by which students go outside hostel.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is good but not very wide. Seniors are very helpful here. Believe me you will learn more from your seniors than from your teachers. So be in good touch with your seniors. And dont worry about ragging because it is strictly prohibited here.
Admission
First you have to clear JEE main and then you have to register on josaa counselling. Seats are alloted on the basis of jee main rank. You should secure above 75% in 12th or should be in top 20 percentile.
Faculty
I will say Faculty is of medium level except HOD's. Some teachers even dont take chalk to write something, they just send you notes to study yourself. So main this is you have to study for your exam by own.
