Remarks
The college produces many research papers for which it is famous among the graduate students. The college has a beautiful campus. The college boasts of zero ragging and its true. and I expect my 4 years to become the best days of my life.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very decent and student friendly. But there are too many subjects and practical sessions which may put you in trouble if you can't pace up according to the classes and tutorials. The exam structure is: there are two exams in one semester : the mid-sem and end-sem.
Placement Experience
The college calls many leading companies of India for placements and they recruit many students. The placement percentage is nearly 90.I think our college doesn't provide internships. But many companies take interns from the 3rd year students.
College Events
There are many events in our school. Innovision- a techno-management fest Cosmo nitr - a arts and cultural fest Vriddhi- sports event Nitrutsav - literary fest These fests are very exciting and almost all college students participate and all the clubs puts events for enjoyment.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible. A normal typical middle class family can cope up the sum by taking loans from bank. And the college provides scholarships for SC, STs and students of economically weaker families.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college has a almuni 1979 scholarship and FFE scholarship provided by a charitable trust. The meritorious students with good attendance and good in both academic and extra-curriculars may get the scholarship.
Campus Life
The lahs are well equiped. The sports society of SAC( student activity centre) regulates the sports events. There is scope for every sports inside the college. One can pursue his choice very easily by getting into the Institute team of various sports.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is good with adequate facilities. There are sports equipments, things for our refreshment. The hostels have Lan network for good internet facilities. It also has night canteens for getting refreshments.
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors are really helpful. There is a committee called SCS which checks the behaviour of seniors on juniors. SCS provides a mentor for every 3 students who will help them with any problem the Junior is facing whether be it academic, psychological, socializing issue. Just anything.
Admission
There is a organizing committee called JOSAA which ensures admission in any NITs in India based on the CRL. According to the rank I got, the need to fill the choices of various IITs and NITs with preferred branches in the choice list. And then JOSAA will select the college and course rankwise. There are total of 7 rounds where they select you a college and course. If you want to take that programme, you can directly go and take admission in that. Otherwise you can wait for the result of the next round and this goes on upto the 7th round.
Faculty
The faculties are more or less good. Some teachers are really excellent. They can make us understand any concept very easily. Some are not so good. Sometimes they are strict or they are very hard to approach.
