Likes

All the faculties are very cooperative and friendly.
There is more then 15 clubs by which one can explore and make there network.
college provides placements to more then 95% student. college provides Pre-Placement training of 6 months by which will help a student easily grab a job

Dislikes

there is no big play ground in campus- 1.Less event organized in campus 1.
The course is advanced but can be improve little more.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is advanced, and it changes year by year, all the curriculum is lead to real-world applications. The courses are not complete properly, and not any gap in between semester exams .

Placement Experience

After 3rd semester the students are eligible for internship but after 4th sem the students are eligible for Plecement. More the 95% students get the placements. Highest package is aprox Rs.4300000 and lowest is 300000. My plan is for higher studies after getting degree.

caution fee: 5000 for college & 5000 for hostel. There is no devlopment fees, lab fees, compulsory charges. course fee 2022-2023: 2,55,000 hostel fee 2022-2023: 85,000 course fee 2023-2024: 2,55,000 hostel fee 2023-2024: 90,000 course fee 2024-2025: 2,55,000 hostel fee 2025-2026: 90,000 college provides scholarship worth Rs.30000

Campus Life

College organises technical events like PROXIMA, E-SUMMIT etc, college organises box-cricket league , and other sports also. There are many clubs in the college by which students can participate and explore it.

Hostel Facilities

There is 3 to 4 beds in a room , all time Wi-fi , 24*7 medical facilities. menu review 8 out of 10 and meal quality 7.5 out of 10 registration process is very easy . In the 1 K.M. of range there is many PG in affordable.

Admission

I applied only for this college and i got this college . I choosed tis college because of advanced curriculum and for placement. The college organised an exam called SAAT, by which it select the students and it selects students as per JEE mark also.

Faculty

Facuilt to student ratio is 1:30. My favourite techer is Ishan Ayus sir , because he is very cooparative. There are 2 exams in a semistar(40 marks) one is mid semester and another is End semester(60 marks). Exams are medium level, all questions come from class notes and assignments.

Night Life

There is no nightlife, but there is a gym , a central library, and a large cafeteria. There is 12 boys hostels and 8 girl hostels . hostel in time for boys is 9pm. and for girls 7pm. There is no famous hangout places inside college, but in 10K.M. range there 4-5 very famous places.

placements are average...not feels like an iit but its ok ...this yaer percentage of placement was 90% and highest ctc was of 67.4 LPA with median of 12LPA and average of 17 LPA ...most of the placements for SDE roles. My plan is to finish my degree as soon as possible and get placed for a SDE role so that i can survive

Placement Experience:

The placement stats of IIT Bhubaneswar are quite good. For the 2025 placement season, the highest CTC was 67.6 LPA and the mean CTC was 14.5 LPA, with a total of 22 PPO offers. Approximately 90% students were placed this year. Major recruiters were Google, Oracle, Zomato, Goldman Sachs, NVIDIA and Meesho. This year, there were 5 international offers (4 from Accenture Japan and 1 core offer from Niterra Japan).

A balanced blend of learning,growth, and memories

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is fairly comprhensive covering core subjects in the first two years and advanced electives like AI,cloud and Data analytics later, which influenced my decision to join. It balances theory with labs and projects,preparing students for real-world applications and higher studies. Exams are held twice a semester plus finals with moderate difficulty. Improvement is needed in making some courses ore practical and updating a few outdated topics.

Honest and Genuine review of NIT Rourkela

Placement Experience:

So the students become eligible for placemant usually from the 7th semester of the Btech which is from the 4th year and the internship opportunities are available from the 3rd year onwards that is from 5th and 6th semester. So in year 2024-25 the number of companies that visited The campus is around 330 And the total job offers offered is about 1200. So the highest package in the EC branch is about 1.2 crore per annum and the average package for the EC branch is around 13 to 14 lakhs. And the Profile of jobs are core electronics, VLSI and semiconductor roles ,system and embedded developments, software engineering, IT services, consulting and analytics. The percentage of student which are getting placed are in the range of 90 to 99% for ECE branch. The top recruiters are Apple Google, Microsoft, Amazon, wipro, Deloitte, Tata,Vedanta etc. After completing my degree in ECE from NIT Rourkela my plan is to join the core technology sector as a VLSI and semiconductor engineer in a reputed multinational Companies, leveraging the strong foundation and industrial exposure gained during my studies in case I do not secure a campus placement I aim to pursue the off campus opportunities in electronics, IT or analytics sectors. Alternatively I am open to perceive higher studies in MBA to specialize in the management sector.

NOT AN IDEAL COLLEGE BUT DEFINITELY DESCENT

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is descent. Some of the student opt for higher studies. Almost 80% get placed with good packages.some goes for gate exam. I also know a senior who have gate AIR of 42. I am planning for gate along with my degree.companies like Hpcl , cpcl, exon mobil usually come here for recruiting.

Remarks:

College is surrounded by beautiful nature. 7-8 km from college is Hirakud Dam which is the longest Earthen dam in Asia. The Place Burla which college is located is away from traffic and city chaos and is very peaceful place to roam around for getting peace of mind.

A good university with a good environment. Healthy atmosphere.

Remarks:

KIIT University is a heaven on earth for students. I would suggest. Please do apply for this university if you are interested and you won't regret. The only bad part, it's a private University. And people don't realize it's worth saying it's not a government University so they won't be able to provide jobs. It's a myth. Infrastructure and exposure wise this university is the best.

Entrance Preview:

JEE mains and my score was 145. My percentile was 95 in boards. I chose this college partly because my brother has passed out from same college n partly because it has a good reputation in case of campus placements. Nearly every student is placed from campus only.

My first impression of the college I chose

I applied in vit chennai , lpu , kiit , and vit bhopal . I got confirmed admission from all the colleges but i chose this college as it was in my hometown and the rating and education background of the college was impressible.
