Clurse curriculum is old and the old and outdated technologies are taught to students. Recently the curriculum has been revised still half the students (3rd and final year) studying are taught irrelevant subjects to ther streams. Exams are conducted in 3 phases, 2 internals with 25maesk weightage and a final eam with 50 mars weightage. For practical subjects it is 15+15+20+50 pattern

The placement is not so good in core branches. In CSE and IT a lot of companies visit for campus placement. Since the SIDCUL is nearby, good job opportunities are present for people in Mechanical and production Engineering students. Since it is one of the only few colleges offering Agricultural Engineering the placement in this branch is also okay. But for other branches on campus placement is not so great.Internships are not encouraged by the professos.

The fee is very feasible. Tution fee of around 25000 for 1 semester and food bill of 20000 making it around less than 50000 for 1 Semester. This is very feasible when compared to any other college which cost almost double from what this college has.

Each branch has 2 seats researved for TFW (Tution fee waiver) student who have a family annual income of less than some certain amount. Apart from this each year student scoring highest GPA in each branch is given a scholarship of around Rs 10000. Apart from these other government applicable scholarships are also available for students.

The labs are a little old but facilities for sports is good. A huge Stephenson Stadium is there where students can avail almost all the sports facilities. One in 2 years Spardha the national level sports fest is organised where teams mostly from state universities come and compete.

Hostel rats are very low. As low as around Rs 500 for 1 sem and it is compulsory for students to stay in hostel. The infrastructure is old and degrading as the time passes. Even though renovation is done still the buildings have become very old and need to be rebulit completey.

Each year alumni meet is conducted in which students celebrating their 25 years of graduation vist the University campus and share their experience with the current students in an interactive session. An organised body known as Alumni Cell is present.

Admission is given afer scoring 100+ marks (gen category) in JEe Main and appearing for online counselling by Uttarakhand Technical University Dehradun. The Jee exam is conducted by CBSE twice a year and the best score is considered for merit.

Faculty is highly educated but some of the teachers avoid taking lectures. They act like typical Government employees show in movies who enjoy their free money without working for it. Despite this some of the teachers are very helpful and encouraging. They have thorough knowledge and understanding of subjects and covey the same to the students.
