About VIT

You won't get any free time after CAT-1 because you will be burdened with DA's and quizzes. Taking about the social life and extracurricular activities, you have lots of clubs and chapters here which you can be a part but getting time for that is a little difficult.

The timetable will be hectic, as you won't have the same schedule for all days. Since we have a course selection system here, you will be choosing your subjects with your teachers and that is a huge mess as you won't get the teacher you wanted.

Placements is good as long as you are in IT, CSE, or ECE. Most of the IT companies come to our campus, but in the case of mechanical, civil, EEE core companies do come but recruit very less. Yes, our college provides internships and the stipend amount varies from company to company.

We have 2 major fests in our college namely Gravitas and Riviera but are very big events. Gravitas is the tech fest while Riviera is the cultural fest. Riviera to be honest is one of the biggest fests in India.

Fees here are comparatively less as compared to other prestigious private colleges, in the case of category 1 or 2, but after that, it becomes very high. To add to that the mess fee here is rocking high of around 50k for veg to 65k for special.

Only the top rankers (from 1 to 100) have that option of scholarship. We do have scholarships for helping the students from financially weak backgrounds but u need to apply for that later. There is no such special loan available exclusively for VITians.

Considering sports activities it is very good here, we have TT, badminton, basketball, volleyball, swimming, squash, gym and many more. We also have 100+ clubs and chapters which you can get through during their recruitments. Labs are also good.

Hostels are quite good. Most of the hostel blocks have badminton courts in them, furthermore, we have generators in the hostel so no issue with electricity, the main issues are the restrictions in the hostel timings. There are far more restrictions in ladies hostel as compared to men's hostel.

Senior students are quite helpful, they help a lot. First and foremost there is no ragging in VIT. You will have a different hostel for the first year so there is no chance of ragging. Seniors help in all ways possible starting from subjects to placements.

First, give the entrance exam VITEEE, the rank list was generated according to your performance in the examination, the better is your rank, the more options you have to choose from. Counseling dates will be provided to you based on your rank.

Most of the faculties here are average as anywhere but they have the great subject knowledge, but a very few are bad, bad as in either they are strict in marking or not good at teaching or both. Otherwise, overall you will have a good experience here.
