Review of K.J. Somaiya college of engineering

College has many extra curricular activities which is very engaging. There many cultural and technical events organised in our college to show up our skills and qualities. Overall our college is amongst the top colleges in Mumbai region and pretty well stands to its reputation.

The curriculum of the college is decided by our own college because it being an autonomous college has rights to set own curriculum also with that it focuses on extracurricular and co-curricular activities.The exam structure of our college is continuous assessment the students are continuously assessed during the course of time.

Yes, our college provides internship opportunities on a large scale I being a fresher have not got an opportunity to claim one of them but they provide us a wide range of internships from indoor to corporate. The placements are also very good and a highlighting feature of our college.

There are a number of events celebrated in my college starting from : 1. Fresher's eve, 2. Symphony, 3. Abhiyantriki, 4. Garba night, Many more events such as techfests , founder's day induction programmes and many more.

The fee structure of the College is bit expensive as our college is an autonomous private college, but the College provides all the facilities and aids for the students and don't lack in any manner , also they provide many scholarships for unprivileged students.

I m a TFWS student offered by Maharashtra cap system. There are all government scholarships applicable such as ebc and many more excluding these there are private scholarships provided by college as well such as PUSH.

Extracurricular activities are the prime focus of our college the college focuses on overall development of the students. There are all types of sports available indoor as well as outdoor, labs are pretty cool too.

I have not opted for hostel, but many of my friends have opted since they live far away. The infrastructure is pretty good and the facilities are also not disappointing. The hostel staff is pretty descent and they keep the premises clean tidy from time to time.

Yes, very helpful my college has a students council , the council is ready to help us 24/7 also they organize various workshops for us to learn new things and develop ideas. The students council is the best part of our college as it helps us to interact with seniors and also learn from them.

I got admission in this college through mhtcet entrance examination. I was inducted through the cap admission process I got a seat through tfws scheme in the first round itself. I opted for mechanical engineering.

The faculty of the college is pretty cool they help us in all the manners. Teach us well inform us about the regular term works and projects help us to improve take part in various mega projects and techfests and extracurricular activities.
