College Review

The management of VIT is really good as they listen to what students are complaining about and make sure they give a proper solution to them. They also provide counselors for people who need someone to talk to. They have proper security measures. They make sure that the students here feel positive and secure.

The course curriculum is very advanced and adaptive. It parallels goes with current technological advancements. There are three different competitive conducted each semester. These are comprised of two internals known as CAT 1 and CAT 2 having a weightage of 50 marks each. After these exams, we have a final assessment test of 100 marks knows as FAT. During the timeline of these exams, we also have various digital assignments and quizzes which add to our internal marks.

There is an abundance of job offers in VIT. Every student who participates in the placement program gets placed by the end of the semester. We have around 640 companies visiting this year. They provide us not only job offers but also internships with a stipend ranging from Rs.20000 to Rs. 120000.

There are two college events every year namely Gravitas and Riviera. Gravitas is one of the most famous technological events across the universities in India. It goes on for 3 days, with students from colleges from all over India come to participate. Riviera is a cultural event where top performers come to VIT for a 5-day event.

To be honest, VIT's fee structure is pretty expensive as it is a private institute. There are students who pay around 5 lakhs for tuition fees every year. But VIT makes sure that it provides opportunities to make the expense worthwhile.

VIT offers scholarships ranging from 10% to 100% depending on your VITEEE rank. They also provide scholarships on the basis of your academics and family income. Other than this, they give prize money ranging from 5000 to 50000 to students securing high GPA every semester.

The labs are highly advanced with most of the software and equipment available. The sports facilities are one of the best in India. They have maintained great standards and maintenance of gymnasium, swimming pools, grounds. They also conduct various sports events every year and offer prize money up to 1 lakh.

The hostel is pretty decent compared to other colleges in India. We have A/C facilities and other amenities like a gymnasium, swimming pool, grounds, courts, and many outlets for food and other purchases.

The senior students are very helpful. VIT is one of the few colleges where there is no ragging at all. There are various Facebook groups with the alumni of VIT ready to help us with any doubts or queries. The senior students help us out not only with academics and projects but also help us adjust to the new life.

I sat for VITEEE which is a competitive entrance exam where students from different parts of India participate to secure the best rank. I got a rank of 6251 and got a seat in the CSE branch after a session of counseling.

VIT has numerous amount of qualified teachers who have in-depth knowledge of their curriculum and believe that no student should be left behind. Out of roughly 4000 teachers, 80% have a doctorate in their field.
