Remarks

Everything is quite good except for the teaching quality of teachers. Teachers are not interested in teaching, very few teachers are who are excellent. They don't show the capability to teach. Except this, you will enjoy the college very much.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Yes, course curriculum and exam structure are quite relevant that means it teaches us the computer engineering basics which are a must to build a career in software engineering. But that does not mean it is sufficient because nowadays technologies are changing day by day and private companies want us to work on new platforms, therefore, course syllabus alone would not be able to make us a better professional.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements are very good in our college almost all students get a placement at the end of 4th year in more than one non-mass recruiter. Companies like Amazon, Microsoft, uber, adobe along with many other reputed firms come to our college and offer both internships and placements to the students. Most of the students get PPO preplacement offer after their internships.

College Events

4

One of the most amazing college fests in the north campus you ever visited is EngiFest which is organized by our college Delhi Technological University in the month of February. It is a 3 days college fest where stars like Sunidhi Chauhan, Vishal-Shekhar, market Aulakh, and many YouTubers come and add a feather in the cap. Sports fest like Aahvaan is also organized just before the engineering fest. Many technical fest also organized which helps students to show their work to the other students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

First-year fees are - Rs. 1,66,000. Second-year fees are - Rs. 1,90,000. Third-year fees are - Rs. 2,06,000. Fourth-year fees are Rs. 2,19,000. Hostels fees are around 40,000 per year and mess charges are around 10,000 per semester that means you have to pay about 60,000 for hostel along with mess charges.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, I have opted for a scholarship. Merit-cum-means income-linked financial assistance is a scholarship offered by the Delhi government to the economical weaker sections of the student. It offers a 100% refund on tuition fees to students whose family income is less than 100000, 50% to students with family income less than 250000, and 25% to students with family income less than 600000.

Campus Life

4.5

I will assure you that you are going to enjoy your next four years get the opportunity to learn new things. Campus is very spacious with 167 acres land. There is sports complex which offers facility to play games like cricket, volleyball, basketball, tennis, badminton, kabaddi, 400m race track, long jump track, etc. There are many computer labs to help students practically implement the programs and mechanical workshops for mechanical students.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network of Delhi technological university is very good. DTU (DCE) produced many successful alumni in its journey till now like Sushant Singh Rajput, Vinod Dham, Paytm CEO, food panda CEO, and many IAS and IPS. Recently, Mr. Raj Soin, one of the alumni of DTU donates Rs. 5 crore for the construction of Raj Soin hall which has the capacity of 2000 students.

Admission

I want to get admission into this college because it is one of the oldest engineering colleges in India and produced many successful alumni. I got admission through a JEE-Mains exam in Delhi Technological University. The exam held in the month of January-February every year. In Delhi Technological University the cutoff for Delhi students lower than outsiders because of Delhi quota. Also, you have to score at least 60% marks in your board's exam to get the admission.

Faculty

1.5

Very few teachers are interested in teaching. Many teachers are students of M.Tech and Ph.D. who are lacking in experience and are not able to the way students want. Teachers are qualified but they are not showing their potential which is very common in most engineering colleges even in IITs.

Here placement is average as many opt for higher studies the reason behind this is maybe because only a few companies visit. In which TCS is a mass recruiter. The average package here is 3-4 lakh per annum and the highest goes up to 6lakhs per annum. Here placement ratio is about 50%. I will also opt for higher studies after getting a degree

College management needs to work upon just the placement cell and needs to invent new methods to keep uninterested students glued and up for studies.
