It was a wonderful time in Thadomal Shahani Engineering College. I got to learn both professional and personal skills throughout the course. It is a college where a student must definitely go to learn the best aspects of both technical and personal skills knowledge
Course Curriculum Overview
Being in the Information Technology stream we had subjects relative to the trends and requirements in the industry. We would have 8 semesters throughout the 4 year course. 2 semesters were conducted every year in May and December.
Placement Experience
The college has an excellent placement structure and it really enables students to apply for the profiles they intend to work in. There was no internship opportunity when I was pursuing the course so I have very little information about the same.
College Events
Our college had several events celebrated throughout the year. We would have Tech, sports and cultural events. Also festivals were celebrated and we would have a traditional day when everyone would wear traditional Indian clothes for the event. The biggest event of the college is Trifles.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible and also facilities are provided for payment of the fees. They also have schemes like TFWS for students below a certain economical level. The fees is on par with what other institutions are charging.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are loan facilities provided by the college. I cannot recollect any company providing loan now. The college was very flexible in terms of payment of fees. I didn’t avail any loan facilities provided by the college
Campus Life
Yes extracurricular activities and sports were always supported by college. I myself played in the college cricket team. College would also send fashion and dance contingents for inter college events.
Hostel Facilities
No I never opted for hostel facilities since I am a resident of the city in which the institution is located. I had friends who used to stay in hostel where the infrastructure and facilities were very good.
Alumni/Alumna
The network is extremely efficient and widespread. They have time and again guided us regarding college subjects and placements. The seniors were also helpful and kind to always be available to offer their help when needed.
Admission
I appeared for the CET exam which is an entrance exam. I got a score of 129 out of 200 and then applied for a seat in the college. I was enrolled for the course through the institute level seats admission.
Faculty
The faculty is very skilled in the subject matter. They have always been ready to guide students in curriculum as well as projects. Every faculty has imparted knowledge related to the industry and subject in an efficient manner.
