Remarks

The only Bad thing about the college is that is you are a Delhite then you won't get hostel and you have to daily up down via metro or bus which is too tiring as it takes around 1:30 to 2 hrs to go to college. For rest of the things the college is the Best

Entrance Preview

I took JEE Mains (previously known as AIEEE). I secured around 87 percent in board exams and 180 marks in Mains which secured me 35K rank (AIR). I choose DTU since I wanted to be in Delhi as well as I wanted Computer Science as my subject.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is certified by UGC. In the first year we have to study for all the branches. In the second year the course mainly focuses on the basics of Computer Science.

Internships Opportunities

I yet to do an internship. But several companies come for looking for the interns across various profiles. Some of these companies are: Microsoft, Practo, Amazon, Arista, Samsung, etc. paying a decent stippend to the interns.

Placement Experience

4.5

Around 100+ companies visit the campus every year. The placement record of the college is very good. Several students bag 70+ packages form MNCs. Last year around 175 companies visited the campus giving around 900+ offers. Companies such as EPIC offered 70 lacs p.aGoogle offered 1.4 cr pagoldman sachs offered 28 lacs p.aThe average package was around 6-7 lacs.

College Events

4.5

There are two main college fests organized by the student council. These are :Engifest: One of the best cultural fests in Delhi region which lasts for 3 days and helds in the month of February. Various events are organized and students from all over delhi come and enjoy the fest.Techfest: It's organized by the the tech societies of the college just before the cultural fest. Several events are organized across various fields.

Fees and Financial Aid

Many good scholarships are available from govt. of delhi and India for ST/SC/OBC students.there is an SBI branch inside the college which would provide education loan without any gauranteer at 11.45% p.a.I have availed for Post Matric Scholarship for OBC students which is given by the govt. of Delhi.

Campus Life

4.5

The Gender ratio of the college is not so good, while the campus is quite big and quite impressive. It's around 160 acres campus with its own cricket ground, football ground, tennis court, badminton court and basketball court. There are many cultural societies in the college which organize several cultural events from time to time.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostels are decent if not bad. The mess food is also good. Along this there is Night canteen too which is open late night too. The quality of food here is good and the menu in each hostel mess is different, so no problem for someone who doesn't eat partic

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network and the seniors are very good. The most happening thing in the campus is that you can go talk to any seniors without any inferiority complexion. They are very helping and guide you throuhout your college life.

Faculty

4

The faculty in DTU is pretty much good. You could easily learn many things from them apart form the curriculum.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

If you study passionately and have decent communication skills and some important competencies, I assure you that you will secure a position in a great company. Here at IIT Delhi, you earn what you work for; you can receive salary packages as high as 2 crores, but some offers start as low as 4 lakhs per annum.
