Remarks

BHU is India's second best University but still India as a whole need to raise its Education standards as in a recent survey no University of India got place in top 200 universities of the world. So many things are still needed to be done.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum of the course is good and is according to UGC prescription! As I am doing Political Science Hons. I have to take three main subjects mine is Pol Science - Psychology - Sociology and an ancillary subject which in my case is Economic and a language. These are very helpful from UPSC CSE optional paper. The Exam Structure is semester system where in one year two semesters are there with a total of 6 semesters in 3 years of complete course.

Placement Experience

4

There is a placement cell in BHU where every student can go and register themselves and if they see jobs which suits your profile, they will call you. Generally this placements are done after Post Graduation in huge numbers except Btech. No, the University doesn't provides any particular internship.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is very feasible and in my course I have to pay ? 1850 per year! And every course is approximately under ?10k except B.Tech and MBBS. It is very cheap and affordable for the same course other universities charge too much.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loan facilities are available for those coursed in which fees is high like BTech by the SBI branch in BHU campus. BHU does not provide scholarship but UP govt provides fee reimbursement and scholarships to economically weaker students.

Campus Life

5

The university is vast with a ground for every hostel with proper sports facilities. There are two gyms in the University with trainers. But the equipments and trainers are very less in both gym and sports complex. There is a sport complex of sports authority of India which provides assistance to players in achieving their dreams. There are very few extra curricular activities, in this field BHU lacks.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Yes, I have got Hostel, my hostel name is Acharya Narendra Dev hostel and the hostel infrastructure is modern as it was built in 2009. We have 24*7 electricity water internet facility. We have mess and canteen in the hostel. The distance between the faculty and the hostel is 1 Km which is good. The fees we pay for hostel is ?3000 per year per diet food cost is ?40 - ?80 depending upon the food.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very good and helpful. You will not find a trace of ragging in the whole campus! We call seniors as Bhaiya in respect, no Sir or Madam rule is here in BHU. Seniors have maintained there respect and we respect them too. We also behave very well to our juniors as our seniors have treated us in a good manner.

Admission

I have to take admission in graduation after my 12th, So I applied for BHU Entrance Examination whose form comes in Jan-Feb every year. I appeared in the entrance examination which was held in May where I scored good marks! After the result which came in June, counselling with document verification was done on July 4. After the document verification I got provisionally admitted to the university.

Faculty

4

The faculty is quiet nice with many prominent professors who teach the students with full devotion and try to impart each and every thing related to the subject what they know to the students. As BHU is a central university many chair professor and guest faculty also visits which helps us to know the view points of other universities too! Totally it's up to the mark.

ECC uses UGC approved Course Curriculam which is same as University of Allahabad and BHU too. So the course curriculam is comprehensive but keeping in mind that Universities have not updated their syllabus for so long time it may feel a little out dated for 10% of time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. i chose this course because it offered subjects like political history and eco. which are highly relevants for government exam 2. the course builds a solid theroretical base, which is useful for acedemic research or competitive exam. 3. the course should include presentation skills, research writing, field surveys, and use of software like excel or data analysis tools. 4. modern students who attend leatures and study regularly can score well. how ever, conceptual clarity is needed to write high, quality, analytical answers.

There is very less fee for course in the highly ranked central university. You can get better thinking about the things and the level of knowledge will be much better. You would be able to understand the things more accurately. you'll get enough time for exam ig 6 months for a semester which is enough.
