Remarks

This college is like a second home, you'll not feel homesick here.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is divided in such a way that the student learns the subject both theoretically as well as practically. Practical knowledge is really important for this course and is paid attention to. Exams are only conducted for a few theoretical subjects.

Placement Experience

3

The internships are optional for this course but it is always encouraged by the faculty to intern. The school provides you with different opportunities every semester break.

College Events

4.5

The college has many student-initiated fests. The major attractions of the college are Biswamil which is a cultural fest and Magnus which is a sports fest. Both fests have students from all over India and overseas competing with one another. The fests are a huge part of JGU.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is 5,00,000 per annum. This includes the tuition fee and the hostel as well as food expenses. There are other expenses to which cost different from person to person. On average a student would require 3k to 4k with him/her in college every month.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't opted for any scholarship or education loan but there is an option to avail both in the college.

Campus Life

4.5

The college is very diverse, there is no discrimination for any gender or caste. There are students from all over India and abroad. The college has many sports facilities like football, basketball, tennis, badminton, etc and encourages all the students to do physical activities.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel fees are around 1,00,000. The hostel provides clean rooms and attached washrooms. It includes ac services in every room and heaters in winters. The hostels are separate for boys and girls. The hostels are very well maintained by the University.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are always ready to help the juniors, sharing notes and giving tips about the exams they are always there.

Admission

The admission process requires the students to score above 60% in their 12th standard. Then there is a test conducted in your own city which is an automated test that requires general knowledge related to your course and the final step is the interview.

Faculty

3

The faculty of the college is very well educated and trained in their respective fields. They have practical knowledge of the subjects and teach students with enthusiasm. The faculty is from different news channels, radio, etc. All of them are highly educated and well trained in their field of work.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Specific Aspects That Influenced the Decision For students choosing a professional or certificate course, the curriculum usually becomes the deciding factor based on three key pillars: Job-Oriented Specific Skills: The primary influence is the curriculum's direct focus on market-based, job-ready skills (e.g., Python, Data Science, Digital Marketing tools). Unlike a traditional degree, the appeal is that every module must be immediately applicable to a job. Portfolio Development: Students are heavily influenced by modules that are project-based or require them to build a portfolio (like a website, a code repository, or a marketing plan). The curriculum must be designed to result in tangible work that can be shown to employers. Industry Certification Alignment: If the course prepares students for an external, recognized industry certificate (like CCNA, MCP, or Google/Meta certificates), the curriculum's strict adherence to that certification standard is a major influence. 2. Preparation for Real-World Applications The curriculum of a successful short-term course is designed to excel specifically in preparing students for real-world applications. Curriculum Improvements Mandatory Soft Skills Integration: While technical skills are a focus, the curriculum should mandate dedicated modules on non-technical, yet critical, job skills like: Professional Communication and Email Etiquette Team Collaboration and Project Management (Agile/Scrum basics) Interview Preparation and Mock Interviews Industry Feedback Loop: Establish a more frequent and formal system to update the curriculum based on current industry demands, possibly involving an advisory board of employers or recent alumni.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is highly relevant and comprehensive, according to me. The core courses that are mandatory for a student to take are highly relevant and necessary in order to develop the relevant skills and knowledge in that specific domain of the field. Electives on the other hand, are a student's choices and may or may not be relevant directly to the course one is studying. The university offers a wide range of electives and the electives are also taught by highly qualified professors across the 12 different schools of JGU. The end semester exams are either of 30 marks or 50 marks, depending on the course. Electives usually have a 30-mark end-of-semester exam for 1.5 hours. The exams are pretty easy and theoretical and contextual, unless the course one has chosen is strictly application-based and demands applications of theoretical frameworks. The core exams in the first and second year are divided across 50 and 30 mark exams and are often for 3 hours. The exams are pretty easy and theoretical except for the practicum courses, which are deeply application-based. The final year has very few core courses which are for 30 marks.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was influenced because I wanted to study more about how a person makes decisions, form perception and how a person's mind works . The curriculum prepares us for real world as we study about different aspects of psychology. The curriculum can be improved a little by adding a elective course in which we can get a little experience and arranging trips . The exams are not too difficult or too easy , just in perfect depth of the subject.
