Remarks

Its one of the best college in Pune for engineering and quite affordable for people belonging to poor families. Its an privileged to be a part of this college which has always treated all of them with equal love and opportunity.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is very simple but there are a total about 40 subjects which we have to study in 4 years. Actually 10 subjects each year.we do have semester exams for that after every 6 months. There has been an new pattern been introduced from past few years as exams are also been conducted online. Its kind of mini test 50 marks test which marks are included in semester which plays a vital role for us to clear the passing marks and boost the score. Passing is 35 out of 100 for mostly all of the subjects.

Placement Experience

2

Yes. The college is good in terms of placement but in our time the placement was comparatively less as compared to placement these days. As we were at the beginning stage when actually the college was just started and had completed it's infrastructure. I was the second pass out batch of my college. My experience was quite good. I applied for wireless Pvt Ltd company and had my interview. It was great and the list was placed after few hours of interview. Unfortunately i didn't saw my name in the list. Internship were conducted such as robotics workshop and visit to BSNL telecom company and many more tech events were held in our college which were truly beneficial for us. As a result overall it was a great experience.

College Events

5

There were many events celebrated in our college. The students as well as Teachers were both very enthusiastic. The lists are as follows 1. Rose day 2.Rakhi day 3.chocolate day 4. Republic day 5.Independence day 6.Teachers day 7.Cultural day 8.Sports day 9.Annual meet up day 10.Traditional day 11.Childrens day 12.Environmental day. Thats all and I attended all of them and enjoyed a lot. It was a moment where I lived my life.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees were feasible being a govt college. Open category Obc and SC and ST category were charged much less and these what I have mentioned are annual fee Open -24 thousand and obc and other backward classes 250.

Fees and Financial Aid

Students belonging to backward class category had an facility to avail for scholarship in case there financial condition was weak. To be honest else than that there was no such thing. Apart from that the students who won prizes and trophies in various activities were given a kind of sponsorship for their other endeavors.

Campus Life

4

Labs and sports are very good. The college has separate ground for cricket as well as for other sports like kabbadi and kho kho. There are rooms made available for Table tennis, Chess and Carrom board. In short it's just awesome for extracurricular activities.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Yeah I did opted for hostel but getting alloted to govt hostel was strictly on merit basis. The facilities were quite moderate and good environment was provided for studying. There was an TV and good Drinking water facilities as the mess there was also quite cheep and had healthy food. The rooms accompanied 4 people as there were 4 cots one for each of the student and 2 fans, Study table for each one of them and 3 tube lights which were in well good condition.

Alumni/Alumna

Yeah definitely.!!!The senior students are very kind humble and helpful. They always guided there juniors in projects and in any case of trouble. The passed out students even used to give a visit to the college to help the students about upcoming events which were being held outside the city. Well the networks was very well established and definitely proved beneficial for all of us.

Admission

I appeared for common entrance test exam which is scheduled across all states of India. I secured 115 score in CET exam from Maharashtra. Cut off lists of various colleges were released and 3 rounds were conducted and fortunately with the grace of God and my hard work I made it to the final selection.Being a student of govt college has always been my dream from child hood and it was fulfilled. After that registration and all documents and form filling work was done and the notice period was given that from when we can join our college. Being in govt college the fees was just rs 250 per year and was quite affordable for guy like me who has always wished to save his parents hard earned money. There the journey of my 4 years engineering began !!

Faculty

4

The faculty of college is very hardworking and dedicated. The teachers and staff members are always there for the students. The best part is that here teachers are passionate about their work. They just don't teach u simply for the cause of money. Education has always been their main propaganda and they always make sure that no stone is left unturned in that case. We students of this govt college Pune have been grateful to have teachers like them and grow under their guidance.

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources

The highest on campus is 43 lakhs while off campus is around 1.4cr. average package is 14-15 lpa mostly for swe roles. Percentage student getting placed is 50% oncampus and if we add off campus the number goes to 80%. I plan to work in the industry for 2-3 years and then try to go for masters.
