Course Curriculum Overview

Course Curriculum is good as per the companies requirement.It includes all basic and advanced knowledge on various subjects. In final year, all recent trending subjects are taught in order to meet the corporate requirement. As far as Exam structure is concerned, So in each year we have two semesters. In each semester we have to go through two mid sem exams(units test) and one final exam which is of 70 marks.

Fee Structure And Facilities

During admission in college approx. Rs39000 for all branches except IT. While during all your semester it will be Rs 33000, again except IT. IT branch has little bit high fees approx. Rs 39000 or more for all semester.

Campus Life

All the cultural clubs together make sure that your usual engineering life does not become mundane. With clubs like Pratibimb, Ojaswa, and Ingenious, you get ample opportunities to learn and evolve during your 4 year period. sports, SGSITS has a wooden badminton court serving budding badminton players and students of SGSITS since years. It does not end at this, we have a lush green football ground, handball ground and many more facilities for other sport.

Alumni/Alumna

SGSITS has a tremendous alumni network.SGSITS enjoys an Alumni Base of over 60 years, with most of the alumnis holding key positions in reputed companies and doing great in their life. Just to quote an example while celebrating our Alumni Day I had a good fortune of meeting, Mr. Rajiv Nema (known comedian), CEO of Impetus, and CEO of Yash Technologies, all at same time.

Admission

I got on the basis of JEE MAINS ranking or score. Though i was not having good score in jee mains but i got it because I belong to Army Quota.Generally,two are basic admission criteria i.e. JEE score and category Quota. Most of the students get admission through JEE score or ranking. If seats are vacant at last then it may be redeemed through 12 th percentage.

Faculty

Faculties have vast knowledge on their teaching subjects and also want to deliver their best but due to student's behaviour towards studies. They just deliver immortal speeches just for sake of documents.Altough, Teachers are from IIT's and also experienced of years. Moreover, Teacher's are down to earth.

SGSITS: JUST A BIG BRAND

Placement Experience:

At the end of 2nd year, companies like goldman sachs comes to take interns. For placements students become eligible from 6th or 7th semester. In recent years goldman sachs is the biggest recruiter, oracle and Deloitte have also recruited, other firms like tcs and infosys also come. Giants like Amazon and google have stopped visiting since few years. Last year highest package was 72 lpa to an ece student. Average lies around 8 lpa. In tech branch 70-80% students are placed. In lower branches 50-60% students are placed. My plan is also to get placed at a decent package after completion of course.

The college have good placements as far as I got to know. The highest package was 8500000 lpa last year and average package was 1900000 lpa. My plan after the degree is to get god job in ECE cire company.

LIFE IN MITS-DU

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to get placed and many companies visits every year for placement and approx 60-70% students gets placement every year.As per my knowledge there is no company which has made no offer.Average package is about 6-7 lakhs per annum.My plan is to take good package from on campus placement drive.If I am unable to get this then I will try for off campus placement and I also want to do MTECH after graduating.

Placement Experience:

Campus Pl start from the 7th semester with good companies visiting for core branches popular recruiters are tafe eichers, CG power, Disa. Cognizant and Infosys for the IT roles also. The average package is up to the 6 LPA. After completing my degree I am planning To join a good company of the mechanical branch which helps me in building my career in the core engineering field.

For internship from college students are applicable after 3rd year and on 7th semester they are applying for placements. The Institute has a separate cell for training & placement that cares for the industrial exposure & placement of students. They have the intensive classes for communication skills, personality development and group discussion that makes them to lead in the competitive world.

I applied for IET davv but I kept it as second preference in MP dte counselling. Other options available for me were some IIITs and lower branches in NITs but I wanted to go for IT sector. Now reason for me for choosing this college was it was slight better than iet and slight lower than IIITs but fees of IIITs was very high, So I didn't applied for them. When I applied for sgsits suddenly they increased their fees. I had no option left other than iet or taking sgsits, but in between confusions and dilemma I choosen sgsits by suggestions of relatives and other elders. Admission process is done through MP dte counselling, based on jee mains rank. Cutoff of general category for IT branch is about AIR 45,000. The college is good in terms of placement and development of students

I have applied to many nits and I got seat in NIT bhopal in electronics and communication branch. But I chose Sgsits cse over nit bhopal ece because I wanted to pursue my career in cse and I have no interest in ece. The admission process of the college is easy . First filling of application through date and then if we get seat we have to report college for the final admission process which is just of 1-2 hours and after fee submission your admission is confirmed.
