Remarks

Positive remark is the college is National level college so every student obviously aspire to get admission. But on the other side the faculties and the food in campus are not at all good as compared to the fees we pay and the national level college should be.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course is good now as compared to previous year's. The exams we have are in semester pattern and in each semester we have 2 sessionals and 1 end exam after that. Thoughout the semester we have multiple submissions of each and every subject based on which we get our internal and assessment marks. Attendance matters a lot in this college, minimum 75% attendance is compulsory for sitting in exam.

Placement Experience

3

Placements are there but not for our architecture field other engineering fields do have placements and job opportunities. Internship is there but college doesn't provide that it's all on us, we have to struggle.

College Events

4.5

Events are the pride of this college. VNIT conducts the best events throughout the Central India and is known for this. Every semester we have events and the most interesting part is, in this college students conduct the events. Faculty has no role in this, this is the tradition of this college and the money for events is also contributed by students we only of every departments. There are many events conducted throughout the year - Aarohi, Axis- Technical event, DG(Departmental Gatherings), IG, etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible I guess and students from backward classes also gets their scholarships. The fees criteria is such that we have to pay fees semester wise. The fees is under 1 Lakh for every field.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are offered my college and fee remission also depending upon the annual income of the student's family and also their caste category. The college doesn't provide loan's for education purpose.

Campus Life

2

There are multiple labs for most of the subjects in each and every department. Sport's ground is huge and also have yoga rooms. State, I National and International level competitions are being conducted in college. Students from various cities come for competitions.

Hostel Facilities

0.5

No, I'm a localite. I didn't opted for hostel. Hostels are good and well settled in campus itself. Hostel charges are high according my to hostel friends. The food over hostel is not at all good for students. Students get sick sometimes.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors play the most important role in this college. As I mentioned above about faculties that they don't even come to take our lectures, so students gets frustrated how to take notes. Seniors gives us the notes and guide us about the exam.

Admission

Through an entrance exam JEE Mains paper 2 which is for Architecture students and I qualified and got in college in the year 2017. I got 247 marks in the entrance exam and luckily I was the 3rd topper in entrance exam in Nagpur, so in 1st round itself I got admission in this college.

Faculty

1.5

I don't think so the faculty is as good as it should be. It's an autonomous college and beside is the National College so faculty should also be of that level. Maximum faculty members are careless they don't come to class and their assistants take the lectures. Faculties should be changed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The frequency of exam is twice a semester and good enough. Guest lectures are good and helpful for the future preparation. There must be a change in teaching styles of the faculty and more site based experiments through the course for better understanding than only in class studies , the beauty of historical buldings made me wonder about this course

Placement Experience:

For architecure departments, usually there are no placements, but since this Institute is autonomous, they have startes conducting placements drive. Last year 10/12 students were placed in good firms all over banglore, pune, kolhapur. I plan on applying to different firms all over Maharashtra and would also hope to get placement via college since the packages that are offered are good. Placement percentage is anywhere between 12-15%. The highest package offered was around 5,40,000, average package for a architecture student would be-around 3lakhs.

Placement Experience:

There is no campus placement for architecture students. After completion of the degree, one can apply for jobs or opt for masters. Architects get an average starting salary of 20-25 thousand. The course is pretty expensive including college fees and printing prices. One can also open a private firm and earn enough money. There are very few open students getting placed. My plans after getting a degree are to apply for masters. For a teaching job, one must complete masters.
