College review

There are both positive and negative aspects of every thing which also is with this College. Sometimes the food quality in canteen degrades a lot no one is there to take the responsibility regarding this problem.

The course curriculum consists of study of different subjects in 8 semesters in which we get both theoretical and practical knowledge of different computer science subjects. We also get opportunities for training in different programming languages both in college and outside from college from the administration. The exam structure consists of two sessional examinations which are internal exams in a semester conducted under supervision of both University and College. We also have practical examination of different practical subjects in every semester before the external examination conducted by Uttarakhand Technical University in every affiliated college.

Our college is bound towards shaping the career kf a Student and has a good relationship with various companies for internship programmes. The placement programmes here are very good as various good companies participate here to hire fresh talents. Students get a lot of opportunities as the T.P.O here helps a lot in order to achieve good company to get hired in placements. I didn't got a opportunity for internship as i was preparing for some other examination rather than technical job.

Spectrum is celebrating once in a year as it's the annual fest of Birla institute of applied sciences. Then we have spic macay a initiative taken by an organisation to cultivate various co curricular programmes like cultural dance, music event, cultural singing etc. We also have 2 or more sports fest organised every year.

The fee structure is very feasible as compared to other technical Colleges in india with such a good facilities and environment provided. One can also take student loan in order to get education from this college which is also taken in account by the college administration for providing more facilities to the student for benefits.

I didn't opted for such a programme but loan facilities are provided in our college. Scholarship programme are also provided in our college for the students whose parents income in very low and they have a low income certificate.

We do have every lab for different practical practice subjects and they are very well maintained. We always are provided internet connection in our labs. We have two lab technician in every lab. For sports we have badminton court, a ground for cricket and a ground for football. We have 2 vollyball courts and a common hall for playing indoor games like table tennis, chess, carrom and other indoor games.

I will rate 8 out of 10 for hostel infrastructure and facilities. The hostel facilities both to boys and girls is provided here. We are also provided the hostel mess which provides good quality food 4 times a day. The mess fee is also affordable.

The College maintain a very good alumni network as there is a alumni meet in every 2 years of gap. We are connected both by College and social network. Many of our alumni come to the college to teach junior students various important facts regarding corporate world and motivates students to achieve their goal.

I gave an entrance exam conducted by Uttarakhand Technical University and the exam name is UKSEE and i got this college after the counselling conducted by UTU as i cleared the exam. After counselling i went to the college for further formalities.

The faculty is very experienced for teaching technical subjects and the strength of faculty is properly maintained. The faculty had a great experience in various birla affiliated colleges and universities like bits pilani and bits ranchi. The faculty also helps students beside their normal teaching routine and guide them in various projects right away from starting to it's end. The faculty also participate in various co curricular activities along with students to maintain a healthy relationship with students.
