This is a frequently asked question among students navigating higher education decisions.

Important considerations:

  • Research Thoroughly: Verify information through official websites, NIRF rankings, and authentic reviews.
  • Campus Visits: Attend open houses or virtual tours to understand infrastructure and culture.
  • Alumni Insights: Connect with graduates for honest feedback about academics and placements.
  • Document Verification: Check NBA/NAAC accreditation, UGC approval, and affiliations.
  • Career Alignment: Ensure the program aligns with your long-term professional goals.

For the most accurate information, contact the college admission office directly or consult the official prospectus and website.

IIEST Shibpur ranks behind the top NITs such as NIT Trichy, NIT Warangal, and NIT Suratkal. It ranks higher than the other NITs and IIITs. It is behind IITs. But the difference in ranking between IIEST and IITs will decrease soon, owing to the excellent research work of the institute.

Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Jabalpur.

IIEST is not on the same level as any of the IITs or Tier 1 or Tier 2 NITs or IIIT Hyderabad, IIIT Allahabad. It might be comparable to institutes other than the aforementioned, such as IIIT Jabalpur, IIITM Gwalior, IIIT Kanchipuram, and firmly ahead of the rest of the NITs and IITs.

Any specific institutional ranking can not be considered as the sole evidence to claim the greatness of an educational institute. However, it can be measured in terms of huge placement records, great fests, evidence of excellently held research work, and a perceptible brand value. Which apparently IIEST seems not to clasp even after 150 years. Given that the institute has failed to make a brand name after 150 years, it is highly unlikely that it will be able to establish the same in near future.

My co-worker has once mentioned during a conversation that she acquired the chance of joining IIEST, yet dropped the idea after thorough research and analysis.
