B.Tech, Avionics Engineering at IIST Trivandrum in 2022
Placements are really good. Since college is related to ISRO maximum students with cgpa above than 7 are elligible for ISRO interviews and are selected based on their performance. Apart from ISRO many campanies like Texas Instruments, UTS, Mercedez , also come here for recruuitment. Many also opt for M.tech and MBA after graduation

The campus placement is there in the campus.A lot of companies visit to the campus. From this year more private companies are visiting because of the breaking of bond with ISRO due to which students are getting good package.

B.Tech, Avionics Engineering at IIST Trivandrum in 2024
Students at the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) typically become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester (4th year) of the B.Tech program. This is when most companies and organizations begin conducting placement drives, and students are expected to have gained sufficient knowledge in their core fields. Companies that Visit IIST for Campus Placements & Offers Made Given IIST's close association with ISRO and the aerospace industry, many of the companies that visit the campus are linked to space technology, avionics, and related sectors. Here’s a general list of the types of companies that have visited IIST for placements: 1.ISRO is the largest recruiter from IIST, offering roles in research, satellite development, and mission operations. Many students are offered direct placements into various ISRO centers. 2. Private Aerospace and Avionics Companies: Tata Advanced Systems Boeing India L&T Defence Honeywell Aerospace Airbus Group Antrix Corporation 3. Electronics and Semiconductor Companies: Intel Qualcomm Texas Instruments Analog Devices 4. IT & Software Companies (for ECE/Avionics): Wipro TCS Infosys MathWorks The number of offers made depends on the batch size and demand in that year, but ISRO typically recruits the most students. Other companies offer anywhere between 10 to 25 placements depending on the job profiles. 1. Highest Package: The highest package offered to IIST students in recent years has been around ?15-20 (LPA). This is typically offered by private aerospace companies such as Boeing, Airbus, or tech giants like Intel. 2. Average Package: The average package for IIST students hovers around ?8-12 LPA, depending on the department and company. ISRO offers around ?10-12 LPA, and the package grows significantly with experience, especially for roles in R&D and satellite missions. Typically, the placement rate is around 85-90% for core branches like Avionics and Aerospace Engineering.

Most of the Students are being absorbed by ISRO. The rest are palced in different companies in Campus Placements. Almost 90% got palcement and some of them opt for higher studies. The companies like Dhruva Aerospace, Texas Intruments, Mercedes Benz, Bellatrix Aeroapce, CDAC, DRDO, ISRO, Intel, Mathworks, Skyroot Aerospace, Bosch, Mahindra, Agnikul Cosmos, SatSure etc. visit for Campus Plecement. The average is 11 LPA. The Highest would be 45 LPA. My plan is either getting placed in ISRO or go for higher studies in Aerospace Engineering.
