How are the placements at NIT Silchar?

The placements here are actually decent. The average package for my branch was around 13.5 LPA last year and branches like CSE, EC and EI have a higher average package generally. The campus is visited by almost all of the top companies including Google, Adobe, Facebook, etc. The detailed placement records are available on the website of the institute.The percentage of students getting placed ranges anywhere between 70 percent to 92 percent. I plan to get an M.Tech degree after completing my B.Tech course from an IIT if possible.

here placements are top notch , every year CSE,ECE ,EIE and EE get good placement in google, microsoft , amazon and many other top tech companies but for civil and mechanical students they have hustle hard to get good job . Even some PSUs come in campus but they usually take students on the basis of cgpa

Placement of our college is really amazing as compared to all the NITs in India. as this year this is 2025, the highest placement stood at 96lpa from the mechanical engineering department, which is really a great thing Also, the average placement of our college is 13 lpa, which is really good

Yeah placements are decent in the college with companies like google, amazon,tata, infosys and wipro like companies are offering jobs with a good packages with in the college it self and these placements average package is good

The placements are really good here top companies visit every year offer lot of packages. The placements generally starts from 7th semester and continue till end of 8th semester. Mainly the highest package is offered by tech companies and last year it was about 52 LPA. The average package is about 14LPA for Electronics and Instrumentation branch. And 52 LPA is highest. Almost 85-90% students get placed.
