NLSIU conducts admission to its BA LLB (Hons.) program purely on the basis of merit obtained by the candidates in CLAT exam. Admissions to LLM are also conducted purely on the basis of merit obtained by the candidates in CLAT-PG.

Here are the total number of seats available at NLSIU Bangalore for both these courses:

BA LLB (Hons.)	300	SC– 15% ST–7.5% OBC (Non-creamy layer) – 27% EWS – 10% PwD (Horizontal reservation) – 5% Women (Horizontal reservation) – 30% *Karnataka Students (Compartmentalised Horizontal reservation) – 25%
